I am 26 with my gen v, also have a new 200c, a new ram and a mortgage, and was wondering does any1 else have their insurance policy all bundled in with cars and their house? if so who is your provider. i pay 580 a month full coverage on everything and was wondering if adding house to policy would reap any benefits.

33 years old here.

I pay $300 with USAA for the 2013 Viper, 2016 Maxima, 2005 Mustang GT, 2005 Ram SRT10 and all 100k/300k full coverage.

Don't know what you mean about insurance on the house. Mortgage insurance?

home owners insurance, companys like allstate geico and statefarm offer it and you can bundle it into your auto policy

I'm almost 53, and yes, I have my homeowner's policy, my Viper, and my Ram, all "bundled".

Sorry, but I have you beat! I am 24 years old (bought my Gen V at 23 years old).

I am currently paying $280 a month for my 2013 GTS. I don't have house insurance bundled into my policy but what I did was bundle my 2 cars with my parents cars and my brothers car. We have a total of 6 cars on the policy and my Viper is listed as a weekend / pleasure car. As long as you're not racking up the miles on your Gen V, that is my suggestion for how to keep the cost down. I also have my parents listed as drivers of my Viper (along with myself) on the policy and that helped bring the cost down.

Hope this helps!

Nope, they're just much older than me with really good driving records.

You guys are lucky! When I was 24, I was driving a 1983 Cutlass Sierra (a hand-me-down from my grandmother). What a machine.....

I moved all my car and home insurance to American National from Progressive. Saved a boat load and if I have no claims for 3 years they send me 25% of my annual premium back. I have 7 cars and my home with them. All the cars are on one policy.

Hey Swex who you with

Westfield, I switched from Traveler's when I bought my current home in February 2014. Find a good insurance agent, they can look up better rates based on your record, credit, etc, than you can do yourself online. And, no, I'm not an insurance agent!

that would be a really smart question for your agent,as none of us know you or your drive record or credit score

36 yo. Full coverage $500 ded. $110/month for 2014 viper gts and $40/month 1997 Viper gts. Bundled with 2 other cars and a home

Check Grundy if you are are over 25 and don't have a house to bundle with. Clean driving record should get you under $1500 per year with them.

Actually a previous experience with an agent taught me im better off shopping around and doing my own research, he was so called shopping around for me and insisting i could trust him, but did my own shopping around and landed with geico currently being less than 800 a year on the lowest price he could find me, and theres no way he could have missed one of the top 3 carriers in the country, i no longer returned his calls

I switched to Geico about 3 years ago and saved 50% from what I was paying. Many of my cars are old which saves money on insurance. I have gotten so many people to switch to Geico. I should get a referral fee.

Have you ever had to file a claim with them? Just wondering how they are to deal with on that end. I've been with American Family for about 20 years so I keep thinking I should shop around sometime and see if I could save anything.

I have the house bundled with the Viper and 9 other vehicles/toys.

The best way to pay less on your insurance is just have less crap to insure!!

It really depends what state you are in, so someone elses rate may not correlate to yours. In Hawaii I used Geico, but when I moved to FL, they're rate was significantly more than USAA. The key is to periodically shop around. FWIW, I'm 31, and my ACR is $90/m. $180/m for all 3 cars. ($100k/$300k)

I had a claim with Geico on my Ducati from dropping it in my driveway. Adjuster came out and looked the bike over immediately after the incident. I told him I wanted everything with so much as a knick replaced, not repaired (Lots of carbon because it was an R). He went to his car, looked up all the prices, and wrote me a very fair check on the spot. The crazy part was that I had the policy for about a week prior to the fall. I was really worried they'd think I was trying to pull one on them, but they didn't, and handled it amazingly well.

I was in my 20's in the 1990's and had a 300zx, loved it. As for bundle/ multi line discount, try Amica Mutual, good faith carrier and they provide a multi line discount

Is it sad that I don't even know what I pay in insurance for the Viper? Lol.

I do know the great state of Virginia made us pay 2300 for the yearly personal property tax. Haha. Bastards.

To be clear my current policy is with liberty mutual........ but I have had policies with Grundy in the past. Grundy is a great option for collector cars like the viper. There are some restrictions on use, but I always alter the language of the contract. The biggest one is it says "no trips to work" I alter to say occasional trips to work are ok and they always accept it. The contact also says no errands....but how are they going to prove if you were running an errand or just enjoying the car? I've had no issues with them and they have covered all towing charges from my multiple viper break downs. I highly recommend if they save you money.

I'm with AAA and my car insurance is bundled with Home insurance.
My 2004 RAM1500, 2014 Focus ST and 2001 Subaru Outback cost me some $1800/year and the Viper alone cost me $1200 or $1600 (can't remember which one). Coverage is the same for all cars with $500 deductible full coverage. Then again, I'm in People's Republic of California...

Haha... I'm only 19 at heart.... isn't that what counts? :) at least that's what the wifey tells me about my behavior.

I was 20 when I got my MKIV Supra (that I still have) and got my gen V when I was 35. But bought my first mid life crisis car back when I was 29 (C6 Z06).

It's unfortunately not as simple as driving record, value, and miles. They have so many tiers and these crazy algorithms for figure them out. Things like how long you have lived in the same place make a difference, of course, but so do what you do for a living and what other vehicles you have insured. I've seen where two people who are similar can have drastically different rates. It's weird and IMO, not worth trying to figure out. Go with a company and rate you like and then forget about it.
