    2016 T/A 2.0 OR Base ACR ?????

For Strictly Street Crusing, Which Way Would You Go ????? I'm Undecied , Love The ACR, But Feel It May Ride Very Firm, Even On The Lowest Setting, Spring Rates Are Double On ACR. Can't Decide On Which Way To Go, UGH !!!!!

If you don't ever plan on going to the track then probably the 2.0. The ACR will be overkill for the street

I agree with XSnake. The 2.0 will still look very aggressive coming down the road.

You have a TA1 and you would want to get a TA2? It's the same car with a wing and two dive planes.....WTF Jeff you fall and hit your head?

The ACR has less insulation (=more noise and more heat in the cabin). It also comes with a 3 speaker stereo. If you do a 1 of 1 you can change these items, but for the street I would still go TA 2.0.

Great attitude! Go ACR, man I miss my 09 ACR. If I do go for a new one it will be the ACR and Stryker Purple, my wife is absolutely whacky over that color. Are you thinking stripes, color?

I had the same issue. Was sold on the ACR Exteme. After hearing real world feedback I decided to go TA1 because I'll never if ever see the track.

No sense going w/ TA 2.0 now that the ACR is available, especially w/ those large diameter brake rotors and the bi-plane wing. Don't know if the new shocks can handle the stiffer than Gen4 ACR springs any better than the old KW's, if the ride proves to be too stiff, a few hundred bucks can get you softer springs for the street. For reference, after I changed out my Gen4 ACR's springs to 500#F/800#R on Moton Clubsports, the ride became quite civilized. That setup was still OK for tracks up to 145 to 150MPH (I'm too chicken to run on faster tracks). Just remember the softer springs are not meant for anywhere the top speeds the car is capable of.

I guess we now know why they make the T/A and the ACR. If you aren't going to track the car me your ego can handle not owning the fastest track car, I'd get the T/A 2.0. It might even have a higher top speed than the ACR if that makes you feel any better. Otherwise buy the ACR. Get it with extreme areo and all the good bits. I think blue with the ACR stripes in white or black would be awesome. I'll then buy it from you when you are ready for the next Viper that is even faster.

Like you said "Like is short". Decisions are hard and your going to have an awesome car either way.

Get the ACR and throw the Viper Exchange active suspension on it. Have it tuned to ride as soft as you want and get the best of both worlds.

    Bruce,
Last time I looked around when I was going 145-150MPH, there were no chickens flying with me. 150MPH is moving! Do you know the numerical setting on the ACR shocks for the softest spring setting?

That setup was still OK for tracks up to 145 to 150MPH (I'm too chicken to run on faster tracks). Just remember the softer springs are not meant for anywhere the top speeds the car is capable of.

i drove the T/A, For about 4 Hrs Today On Race Mode On The Shocks , Stiff It Was, But Not That Bad , I'm Thinking Thats What The ACR Will Drive Like Or Will It Be Stiffer ????, They Are Adjustable On The Comp And Rebound , Just Crank Them Down Some Maybe !! Or Am I Wrong On That ????, Also Thinking Going Base ACR, It Will Have More Ground Clearance, Less Strakes On The Rear Diffuser Is The Difference There.Base Has 2 Strakes. It's Just More Streetable , Love The ACR Interior, And Those Carbon Fiber Brakes With That Massive 6 piston Calipers For FREE !!!!! Well Sort of Any way !!!

had to make the same decision went with TA 2 ACR is great but not for the street the racing alignment made the decision for me

If only alignments and tires could be changed.

From the original question, the 2.0 seems the right fit.

The way I look at it, unless you live at the track, the TA 2.0 is the rational choice and the ACR the emotional choice for mainly a street car with occasional track use. And of course the TA 2.0 won't be a slouch at the track neither.
