Wish me luck...headed to dyno for baseline numbers

96 GTS....I have no idea what if anything has been done to it.

Bought it with 18,500 miles last year....has 23k now

Has Corsa exhaust...I assume high flow cats because the stills stay nice a cool, but the exhaust is not obnoxiously loud like it had cats deleted.
Has smooth tubes and the stock air box was deleted...aka air filters hanging in the air right behind the radiator (still have a the after market K&N box on the work bench waiting to go in)...and that my friends is all I know about the car

Ohh and on edit accufab 60MM throttle bodies

I figure if I see 400-410 RWHP it is basically stock.
If I see less...then I'm concerned age is catching up to it.
If I see more....then I'm thinking it might have some other mods done by previous owners that I just know nothing about.

Sound like I got my expectations aligned in the ballpark?

And stupid check of the day 4th is 1:1 right

location, weather and other factors of course affect the readings, but you range (400-410) is probably on the conservative side. yes, you want to dyno in 4th gear....also, have them close the hood, not leave it open, assuming they are using a fan(learned about that after I had mine dyno'd). hope you are happy with your numbers

Stock 1996 GTS but for K&N's, smooth tubes, probably about the same mileage as yours at the time: 435 RWHP on a Dynojet 248 SAE corrected.

    Yes, 4th is 1:1

Definitely depends on the type of dyno.

Why are you wanting luck? Do you expect the motor to fail under dyno load? I would address that first.

It's just a figure of speech. There is no such thing as luck...

No I don't....however....I have had a perfectly good motor take a shit quite unexpectedly on a dyno once....so I tend to worry about these things.

Please let us know if it's a mustang or dyno jet . Mustangs will have lower numbers, maybe even under 400 hp. Some dynos are very stingy so don't get too worried

I really could have used that luck. Wasn't able to dyno...'Tires are too beat'......I freely admit to doing some burnouts with these tires....but sheesh......

And of course the Pilots are on national backorder......looks like the car is getting parked for a period of time ;(
