    Pic with base ACR?

I know I saw a pic that had the base ACR in it, I tried searching and I'm sure someone will point me to a link that's right in front of me, but I'm brain farting on finding it, can't find it on the SRT site either. Any help appreciated, thanks.

Also, and the pic might answer this, anyone know if the base ACR rear wing is adjustable in any way? Thx

Dman, yes it's still adjustable. The wing on the standard ACR is both shorter in height and width but I do not recall how much.

Go to www.drivesrt.com and go to Vehicle news ---- half way down under Dialed in Downforce is a picture of both configurations of the Viper ACR.

There's some pics of it in the original ACR thread. If you google search it you can find some also.

Ok, thanks, maybe I have seen it and didn't know it, pretty subtle differences to the eye in pics. Wing looks slightly less prominent but still the 2 plane design, which I didn't realize, and a set of canards. Anything else? Are those wheels and tires the same? Splitter difference, and is there a caliper difference? I see they're black vs red. Thanks!

Differences are ----- extra dive planes, different larger rear wing, different rear diffuser, expanded front splitter with cabled extention supports , removable louvers in the hood. Suspension , brakes, rims ,interior ,etc, are all the same.

Some folks may not want to spend the extra 6K, or they may want the look and it will be more streetable --- we all know there will be many folks that will be driving their ACR on the roads a lot, just as today. With the base splitter, and regular diffuser the car will not be quite as low , so it may appeal to many who may not track it or may just occasionally.

They are both so over the top the regular public would never notice the difference. If you spend 120k on someting so crazy what's 6k. Can't understand why they would make 2.

I'd have to guess to hit a certain price point

Since the Extreme Aero adds even more downforce than the regular ACR, did Dodge up the spring rate on the Extreme cars, if not, then wouldn't it be safe to assume the difference in downforce really isn't that much?

Good question, i asked someone about the TA 2.0 vs 1.0 and was told they have the same spring rates.

This is me. Mostly street driving by a large degree. For the $6k I don't think there's any measurable difference in the performance of the car on the track for a hobby track day guy like me, going out 3-5 times per year and having fun while trying to be safe. Although if I had an ACR, I'd probably do more. A 1of1 with the base ACR pkg would be my silver bullet I think, the only decision then is opting for that killer ACR interior (which I wouldn't have to have by any means) to take advantage of the CC brakes being thrown in, which again as a hobbyist I wouldn't "need" but is so much value to the car it'd be hard to pass up.

If you no not order the carbon brakes what do you get? Steel rotors yes but do you get 6 piston calipers or 4 in front?

Both come with Ceramic rotors, the only way you will get steel is if you do a 1 of 1 and don't select the ACR Interior - same calipers.

DMan - keep in mind if you do go with the standard interior you will still get the really nice suede and leather interior with a power driver's seat, so some advantages for the daily driver ACR.

Yea, that's a great point and what I was thinking .... then you put in a post where you could see pics of the ACR interior and I drooled over it, thanks, NOT. lol

Based solely on aesthetics, I like the base ACR wing better and could do without the extended front splitter.....but I sure do love the look of those removable louvers. I wish those were a stand alone option. I would get a base ACR and just add the louvers.

Agree 100%, other competing, as in actually racing, I'd prefer the slightly more subtle, and it is slight, base wing. But the louvers are uber cool.

Any chance of getting a price on the carbon rotor replacments and pads per corner?

Nothing wrong with steel brakes on a track car, I seem to recall a certain 2010 ACR did "ok" with them at some German venue.

Are the non CC brakes the track pack stoptech or the TA thicker ones?

Frankly my track pack car so far has had more brakes than I have balls so they've been awesome for my use, of course I haven't quite made it to the 'ring yet.

Sure they are the Brembos, not the Stoptechs.

The ACR extreme hood needs to be a selectable item for any viper in the 1 of 1. Those removable louvres are epic.
