I have been thinking about an aftermarket solution for this for a while. It appears that sequential boxes have too frequent of a rebuild schedule to really work well on the street. I may have found a unique solution with a normal maintenance schedule. Buy a dog-ring conversion for the existing tranny from Pfitzner and then use this shifter
http://www.s1sequential.com/t56-sequential-shifter/ with a strain gauge for no lift shifts. It'll still be expensive, but it should provide instant, no lift shifts and be bulletproof without having to be rebuilt every year. And obviously it will fit perfectly.
