Austin, this isn't the club we're running.
If you're aggravated with people discussing the VIPERS they own on a VIPER site and they're MEMBERS... then maybe this site isn't for you. I'm not sure why you'd get so aggravated with seeing discussion about someone owning a ton of these cars. There's nothing out of place here, certainly nothing that warrants such harsh comments from you. They don't deserve that.
We appreciate Enthusiasts being part of the site, but simply being so overwhelmingly negative isn't what we're about. And contrary to some belief, just because you have an opinion, doesn't MEAN you HAVE to share it (especially when it's insulting, rude, derogatory - and public). Change the tone. In addition, when those lash back in the same way at you - it doesn't feel good does it - the victim mentality immediately sets in and then the fight breaks out. Blows my mind how often things like this happen. And you'll still wonder why. If everyone behaved like that, this would be a horrible place.
I ask the mods to step in as these comments have gone too far and contrary to what we should be allowing.
PS For the record, anyone owning nearly 100 (and they're getting there) Vipers, SHOULD make news - and discussing it here should be FAR from taboo. Only in this day and age can that lead to the hazing... Amazing. They are rockstars living the life they want to live.
Austin, the Rauhs are amazing, down to earth, generous and friendly people who just happen to have an amazing collection of Vipers plus other fine automobiles. Actually if it wasn't for them, you most likely wouldn't currently have a Viper Owners Association to come to as an "enthusiast" and post your worthless drivel.

Knowing both Wayne and D'Ann I can tell you that they are truly among the nicest people you will ever want to meet. Sure they are passionate about the Viper but they do not have inflated opinions of themselves. They are just down to Earth really nice people. They enjoy their car collection and they literally drive every one (well except for the last edition Gen 4). D'Ann drives a Viper then tosses the keys in a basket, when all the keys are in the basket she starts over. On one trip right after Wayne had gotten his first Gen 5 (an SRT), he let anyone that cared to drive it, drive it. That helped several people make up their mind about owning a Gen 5, me included. On, the long trips our club have taken with them Wayne washes his own cars just like the rest of us. They carry pet food with them in case D'Ann spots a stray dog or cat in need of a meal and some care. Personally I'm glad they are so passionate about the Viper, it helps the Viper community.
We've PM'd Austin... this post was made after said PM...
Austin is taking week vacay......

They are an amazing couple, very caring... I enjoy seeing their passion for Vipers!
Is Austin the first to get clobbered with the ban stick? I know a pink Viper isn't everyone's cup of tea, but aren't these insults being thrown at the people that fronted to money to create this club? As much as that doesn't put them above being insulted, it should at least garner a little extra respect.
I don't know this Austin guy or his wife(seem like true viper fans). When you post on an open forum , you might hear OPINIONS that you don't like or agree and some that will agree. You have to have a tough skin. Whether you have 100 vipers or 1, the pink is a unique on a brutal/raw car and is a tough sell... Pink on a VW bug or Jetta is ok ... viper...ehhh...not so much
This goes to show how powerful the 1 of 1 program really is. Its pretty amazing that a factory production car can be ordered like this. There are no limits and you have to love that approach
As we all knew, there would be some questionable combinations but if that's what the owner wants, more power to them. The Viper has never been about fitting in and conformation but rather about making a stand and being unique
I have a neighbor that has a Yellow Mustang with Pink stripes........now that one hurts your eyes a bit
Car spent last night in Amarillo on the way home.
What a sight!!!
Interior!!! WOW!!!!
Believe it or not that car will fit in perfectly in their collection. Is it over the top a bit? Yes, but in a cool sort of way. I doubt it gets driven all that much due to the special nature of the paint, but believe you me it will be driven some. If you get the opportunity to see them all you really need to take the time and go through their warehouses of cars. Great collection and salt of the earth folks. Got to spend the evening with Tony and his wife that does the wild interiors and really had a great time. This trip was wonderful and getting to know the folks behind so much of this work made for a great nine day trip for those of us from Houston. Had several dinners with John Gasman and his lovely wife as well. Looking forward to hooking up with most of these folks again as part of NVE2!!!

Holy pepto! They Should send a pic to mary Kay Cosmetics (isn't that the company with the pink caddy's?)
Wayne is one lucky SOB, D'Ann looks like quite a catch!
Congrats to Wayne and D'Ann on their 80th Viper. They seem like the "right" couple to talk to about Vipers.
