Got the letter last week, called the dealer Thursday and they said they would have the parts by Monday 8/3.
Has anyone had this done yet? I'm thinking about just waiting. Do they have to remove the door panels to do the fix?

I believe they do remove the panels. My passenger door panel is separating anyway, so I'll kill two birds with one stone when I have the recall done.
My understanding is that they do have to remove the panels, and that there are a lot of parts required for the fix.
When they did mine last week Dodge neglected to include some very important and specific clips necessary for the fix. Make sure all parts are in before you schedule your appointment.
My passenger exterior door handle quit working yesterday. Time for the fix.
Are there any other recalls or updates for the 14? I haven't had anything done to it.
My 2014 has the airbag recall.
I'm not sure if I'm going to get it done. I'm afraid of the service person scratching the interior when the seats are removed.

Phillips Chrysler here in town is currently performing the recall on my car. I'll let you know what they did when I pick it up.
Is the door handle recall on both doors?
I though I read it was only the passenger side door. But I could easily be mistaken...
Yes. both doors. https://www.chrysler.com/universal/w...ce/pdf/R14.pdf "THE RIGHT AND LEFT DOOR HANDLES AND TOP COVERS MUST BE REPLACED." according to my dealer.
So here's the scoop:
Both handles were replaced. They ordered new factory painted GTS Blue handles. I guess that's why they take so long. There are 2 small bolts inside where your hand goes on the outside handle and a small plastic clip that have to be removed. The tech also removed the inner door skin to access the electrical clip.
The Viper tech did a fantastic job and I they also gave me the original GTS Blue handles to keep as a memento lol.
He's an oldschool Viper guy. Been a Viper tech for almost 20 years and was originally working in Tampa but he moved to Ocala. Very likable and I trust him with my car that's the bottom line
Thanks for the update. When I make my service appointment, I just tell them the color (Adrenalin Red) or I guess they get that from the VIN. If my door panel wasn't loose anyway, I might put this off, but since it needs fixed anyway, it's worth the process to get it done.
Pete, you know I'd love to run it up there but I just might get run out of town
Mine goes in for the handles Tuesday in Ft Myers.
Should be back up in a couple weeks, see you then.
