How the hell did C&D only manage a 249.9 out of a TA at VIR when Chevy has ran a 241.3 with the Z07 package Z06 there?

I think most of the reviews are exactly what you'd expect. Most love parts of the car, but will always find some reason to complain about, something "Viper" which makes it what it is. If it had flappy paddles to shift, they would bitch that the car got rid of a real stick. If it had more carpet, they would say, why does it have carpet in a race car? Take it for what it's worth. If the car had a prancing horse on it, most would love the "throwback" feel of a real six speed, the insane Italian design of the cf aero package, etc, etc...

Just be proud that an American mainstream car company has made a REAL limited production car which will out perform MOST cars 3x the cost! They should be waiving the flag and pounding their chest of look what America can produce, although we know that's not the popular media line nowadays...

Definitely. And I think out performing "most" cars is selling this car short. I think it'll blow the doors of anything but the LaFerrari, P1 and 918 and definitely give them a hard time. For +/- $130k? That's awesome

"At VIR, the big speed is demanded of you in the most pucker-intensive corners of the track. "

I agree with this statement. I had to "Un-Quench" my seat a few times on that track. LOL.

I liked this part of the Automobile review:

"You might think that performance-enhancing weight savings – some lightweight carpet; a “minimal three-speaker audio system,” Dodge says; thin, manually-adjustable seats – mean the interior is a penalty box. Not so. Alcantara is everywhere, including on the steering wheel; the “minimal” stereo still sings decent sound and provides Sirius radio, navigation and Bluetooth; there’s air conditioning and power windows. What else do you need?"

    At least they're not weenies.

Lots of very positive reviews so far.... I'm really impressed by the ability to tune aero balance with the vents in the front and rear wing, that's real race car stuff.

Amen. You can tell the difference between a true car guy and racer like Road and Track's author Vs. Car and Driver's. Passion and an understanding of the significance of the ACR's true race car capability is only recognized by the former. The Car and Driver guy probably has no idea what it's like to experience nirvana on the track. It's just a job, he would rather rave about the Prius's extended battery range!

ACR is running 1:56.7 at VIR currently. Unsure if it's extreme car or not. I would guess it is

The ViperExchange GT3-R is running 1:46's. SRT threw a new ACR into the mix, it's running 56's currently.

Sounds like its on a different track config than what C&D runs at their Lightning Lap test if its doing a 1:56. If it was the LL config the times would be in the 2:4xx range if memory serves.

Yes! Two more solid reviews by those who get it.
