VENOM V.......red w/stripes to orange to blue w/stripes are an interesting set of color moves.......I would have the same problem. Do a 1 of 1 car in Styrker Red.....you know what that's like. Unfortunately, I think that would be a 165,000 dollar car.

Yes my split personality is showing, haha. I priced the 1 of 1 option and it adds a fair amount to the price. I'm gonna stick with the standard colors, not sure how Stryker Orange made the cut

Haha love that Andy Lally video. He was having so much fun he ran out of gas. That speaks volumes as well as his commentary. Love the positive reviews so far. Im sure once its tested against the Z06, GT3 etc the Negative Nancy's will start to rear their collective ugly heads bring things down a bit as usual.

lol, I've taken my X out on the street. It all depends on your level of craziness. You just have to understand what it is your driving and not expect to float down the highway.

You been hanging out with a bunch of pansy liberals?

I guarantee my 1970 Chevelle is more archaic and unsafe for daily driving. It won't kill someone to go to cars and coffee in an ACR.

That place is filled with a bunch of Pansy's who are already saying stuff, like the wing looks cheap, etc..., this viper is just a tuner car etc, which is funny, the Z06 is much more a tuner car, with the lt4 basically being an lt1 with forged internals, so they could slap on a cheap blower, and all those tacky plastic tacked on parts, cheap spats so Gm could keep the same front that the base model uses due to the bigger tires, those people are a joke.
I've had vettes, always liked them, but the C7 is just slapped together cheap cooperate garbage, and the owners have now made me not like the car, when my TA gets here, my mission is to hunt the C7, destroy them, humiliate them, that is if I can get those old fart waxers to go at it, which I doubt.

You guys are way out in left field here... Just saying what was said to me after the ACR test drives.

The old ACR (and yes ACR-X) are a slight upgrade over stock Viper.

The New ACR is a serious track rat. It's not built for the street. It's just not. I know I will most likely track my car maybe 1-2 a year? Maybe... So I'm thinking that the TA might be better for me.

Really appreciate the personal attacks though.

PS. Vettes are for old bald men who insist on wearing a baseball cap in a convertible / targa car.

The ACR upgrades on the Gen 4 and 5 are basically the same recipe. The main difference is the Gen 5 gets brakes a well. Both focus on suspension, tires, front/rear downforce. Not sure how the Gen 4 is a slight upgrade but the Gen 5 is a what, major redesign of the car? Both are/will be streetable and driven to Cars and Coffee...I would bet that the Gen 5 ACR will be more streetable and livable than my Gen 4 ACR.

The testers (for the most part) are pansies and used to driving range rovers, Jaguars, and other overweight, heavily insulated sports sedans and coupes and have a very skewed reference frame. You have to understand the Viper owner frame of reference...many more drivers here...even if some of us like our cars to look shiny when going fast on and off track.

You also mentioned the exhaust dragging? The entire exhaust runs inside the frame of the car. I'm not sure how that is even possible?!?

    Donk,

Appreciate you are an enthusiast , but please think about your comments and realize that the car would not even pass US Vehicle Standards if what you purport is true. No offense, but it must meet all the same regs as other cars and not sure where your information came from, but from some of the Dodge Engineers we know the car is every bit as streetable as Vipers from the past. Chatting with one individual (engineer) he mentioned the new ACR rides as well as the past Gen IV ACR. Keep in mind the infinite adjustment of the shocks , they can be dialed down a bunch and the front splitter will likely not come installed , just like on the past model. Height adjustment is something mentioned one can do with the new Snake, but it will not come lowered for optimal track

It would be great if all magazine journalists had to list their current personal cars, as part of their article signature. It would possibly show bias, or manliness, or pansy-ness. Then we'd be better at determining if their opinions are worthwhile.

Hell, if I had a new ACR I'd drive it to a black tie event. But I'm not exactly normal.

You know what? I would do the very same thing. Kinda like bringing in a trophy wife, only this one has wheels.

I have driven 10,000 + Miles in my hardcore ACR. Including 2k miles round trip to Detroit for the homecoming, 550 miles to Nebraska for Viper Rendezvous, 200 miles around the track all weekend and 550 miles back home again.

If there was a new Gen V ACR in my garage I would do the same.

While I might agree that something a step or higher may be in existance, I would seriously doubt anything would be built for sale after the failed ACR-X program in the past. Chrysler couldnt sell the cars that got built and having a very small spec racing series didnt create much attention either....

Guys, it's as simple as this: Remove the splitter and rear diffuser, and it is as streetable as the earlier gen ACRs.

I know I will be driving this sexy beast on the street on special occasions

    Gen IV ACR
-Big wing, front splitter, removable track extension, bigger sway bars, coilovers, 2 piece rotors, light wheels and street legal race tires, 1 pair of front dive planes. 0-7 speaker basic audio system with optional archaic navigation system, no steering wheel controls of any kind, no cruise control or traction control etc.

    Gen V ACR
-Big wing, front splitter, removable track extension, bigger sway bars, coilovers, 2 piece rotors (standard on 1 of 1 package with optional carbon), light wheels and street legal race tires, 2 pair of dive planes, removable rear diffusers, 3-18 speaker audio system, radio controls on the steering wheel, uconnect, bluetooth, 8.4" touch screen navigation, satellite radio, usb ports, cruise control, traction control, auto dimming mirror etc.

I would say a Gen V ACR is more streetable than any Gen 1,2 or 3 Viper LOL. Dare I say any of the 30,000 Vipers made before 2013?
