We had an amazing day today at Mosport. DrivetTeq divided the groups into three: novice, intermediate and advanced, so that each group got the most of their session.

The purpose of these Driver Development Days is to improve your driving ability and broaden your comfort zone. There is no racing and no intimidation by anyone who attends. These days are strictly for the purpose of improving your own driving skills making you a better day to day driver than most other drivers on the street.

Many of our members chose to go into the novice group where they had in class training by Gerry Low, skid pad training, and one on one instructions by the many DriveTeq professional instructors. We at the intermediate group also got to enjoy one on one in car training by the professional DriveTeq instructors. Each class had many opportunities to go out on the track to develop their driving skills and broaden their comfort zone. Ask anyone who attended today’s event if they feel it was worth it. I can tell, by the many grins, and the excitement in drivers faces that it was a huge success. I even had many ask when are we doing it again.

I would like to thank again the following people who made this all happen. Dave Pozzobon from Ontario and Team Chrysler. All those who attended greatly appreciated your contribution and the great looking golf shirts with the VCO logo along with your dealerships names on the sleeves. Nice touch, everyone loved them.

I would also like to thank Gerry Low and Rick Morelli from DriveTeq. I was extremely impressed by how well planned and organized the day was. Everything from the registration, the briefing, in class instructions and the managing of the three groups so that everything ran smooth and effortlessly. It’s a true testament on how professional your team is on making a day like this run with no mishaps. I would also like you to pass on our sincere thanks to the many professional instructors who sat in our cars instructing us on how we can improve our skills and praise us as we became better drivers.

I also don’t want to forget your many marshals who stood out in the middle of the fields on this very hot day keeping us safe with an extra pair of eyes and their flags signaling us on what was ahead. Without them, the day wouldn’t have been such a success.

I can’t wait to do this again
