You aren't entirely making sense here. An old set of injectors that are functioning completely normal can provide a baseline for what ever you want a baseline for. But if your plan is to exceed the capabilities of the old injectors going forward there would be no reason to baseline them.
You need to clarify what you are doing.
Sorry Dan, include me in the statistic of confusing the two Specialty/Dan's. My apologies.
Yes, I'd like to pursue this tuning option. Not wanting to waste your time on something I'm not too familiar with, I'll do some research. Thank you.
There's not two Daves are there?....lol
The world can barely handle two Dans... lol
If you get approached about some of the things that Dan 1.a has referenced that have been done to my Roe, and that you may want to do to yours, like the injectors and relocating the MAP etc, I, Dave 1.a, may be able to offer technical assistance if needed. To date, Dan, 1.a, has never had my car. We just discuss the mods and upgrades and then I do them. So I (Dave 1.a) do have exclusive direct experience there. Without of course taking credit away from the fact that Dan (1.a) could also have performed the same tasks if he had my car.
Hey Dave. All I'm asking is, not unlike spark plugs that should be changed every xxx miles, I'm curious if the same logic applies to fuel injectors? I suppose I could take my existing ones down to the local speed shop and have them flow tested and ultra sonically cleaned, but for the cost of a fairly new group of injectors, I'd be looking at about the same price if not less. Just trying to build upon Dan's logic of "making sure I'm building on solid ground" and address this fuel injector issue head on, before I take my car in for a tune, etc. But guessing at 65K miles, they may be candidates for a replacement?
In other words, I don't know if my current fuel injectors are performing at their optimum (proper flow pattern, etc).

My injectors were $120 each for $1200 total. Plus about $600 for a modified harness. Add about $2500 for a decent fuel system if you want, like I did.
I think you're way off on the comparison. Way off.
Oh. And send your injectors to 1Tony1 if you decide to test and clean them.
I'm not looking to upgrade my injectors/fuel system. I'm just talking about retaining the stock fuel injector.
$20 buys you 10.....well, me 10 as I already bought them. http://driveviper.com/classifieds/in...injectors.html
Cheaper than sonically cleaning mine. Thanks again Steve!
Thanks for the offer to come to Nashville to do some tuning!
Well, that's how I perceived the aforementioned subliminal, "between the lines" reply. Quite obvious.
I'll keep updating as time allows in next few weeks. I don't guess it would hurt to pull the plugs (Im thinking about 8-10k miles on them) to inspect as well.
I do have an OBDII that will do realtime LT/STFT's if posting that data will help get started. And Im not sure the extent of the parameters it will read. But, should be a good place to start.
Thanks again.

Finally pulled resonator off to inspect.
I really expected to see some significant damage from heat.
I'm thinking of deleting the resonator.
I have hi-flow metallic cat now, no muffler either.
Should I just put resonator back on, delete, etc?
Pros/Cons? Thoughts?
Why delete it? My guess would be an increase in drone and little performance increase.
Just wanting it a bit louder, especially at idle. Without it, I'm guessing would not resonate. Or drone too much. Not looking for gains.
Just don't want to lose any. Or create more hassle than it worth.
I've seen a few threads on Alley from years back and seems it's about 50/50. Some like it, some don't.
Do it. I run side exhaust with no cats and spirals, It will set off car alarms at idle. And peel paint doing fly bys. Throw in the blower whine and people hate me.
Easiest way to find out is to try it. I've done many combos on my side exhaust car and in general less baffling = more sound volume. A rear exhaust car will react differently but I would suspect some basic theory still crosses over. The trickier area is what it sound like. Not how loud it is.
