July 18th - Raleigh C&C and FREE Viper Car Show / Lunch at Captial CDJR!

We have just added this event to our schedule! On Saturday, July 18th, we will attend Raleigh Cars & Coffee in the morning and we have been generously invited to Capital Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Garner, NC for a Viper car show and a FREE picnic lunch! Capital CDJR is a VOA National Sponsor, Carolinas VOA Regional Sponsor, and we are very fortunate to have them integrated with our club! They are a class act dealership! Please post up if you plan to attend so we can have an accurate count for the show and lunch!

Ugh. That sounds like a lot of fun. I don't know if I will make a single event this year. Work schedule is killing me.

Brian be sure to contact the organizer of Raleigh cars and coffee about maybe reserving some spots. Lot is usually full at 8am and will be unlikely we will get to park together.

Retract the last statement. Raleigh cars and coffee posted today that it will be cancelled for the next 6 months for renovations to the complex.

Well, that's a bummer. Oh well! We'll still have a great time at Capital CDJR. Maybe we can think of another plan for the morning. Anyone have ideas?

Everyone could come over to my house (Just 3 1/2 hours away from Mike's Place) for my grand daughter's 7th birthday party....going to have a bouncy house, and if its to hot, ya'll (mountain for you guys) could jump in the cement pond. If not, I'm going to miss seeing you guys until the next time.

I know of a mobile dyno in the area. We can go to capital earlier have him come out and dyno some of the cars in morning and while we do the viper show/lunch.

Maybe go to rush hour karting afterwards and do some go cart racing. They also have a bar there.

Or hire some models and a good graphic artist/photographer and go out to capital earlier and do some professional pictures of the cars.

Forgot to mention that the owner of rush hour karting has contacted me in past about referring them and their location for car meets and shows. So I'm sure they would be willing to work with us.

The carting would be cool Matt. Since you have been in contact, would you want to reach out to check the possibility of scheduling something Saturday morning for 10-20 people?

We spoke to them in February about an alternate date due to the inclement weather in February, but never heard back. If enough folks are interested, we can definitely try to schedule something, but probably not on the same date of this event. We'll need ~6 hours for the dyno.

Matt, when you talk to Rush Hour, mention the dealership because we have had a few events there ourselves.

Looks like we are going to do some carting provided we have enough interest. Rush Hour is also located in Garner, NC. We need 10 drivers for a reservation Saturday morning. Please post up if you plan to attend ASAP so we can book.

    Brian (2 drivers)

probably won't be driving at rush hour but we might join just to watch, still up in the air for us. we have our own race car to drive so I would rather not pay to drive a slower version

If you're karting, bring a helmet sock / head sock if you have one. If not, Rush Hour has them for sale for $2.

This is going to be a hoot!

What a great event and great turnout! What made it even greater is that everything was FREE! The club covered everyone's admission to karting and Capital Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Garner hosted the club free lunch! A BIG thanks to Mike who spent a majority of his time cooking burgers and dogs for everyone. There was some stiff competition on the track, but at the end of the day, Matt, Jenna, and Dugan "took home the trophies".
