    Anyone remove their dead pedal?

I adjusted the dead pedal as far back as it will go, and I still find my left leg is more flexed than I'd like when I'm off the clutch. Thinking of removing it as there is still a few inches behind it to the firewall. Has anyone done this? Is there a reason not to?

I did not remove it from my '06 or the '14, yet.
Don't use it. I'm 6'3" and find it unusable.

Took mine out. More comfortable without it.

I have mine about a 1/2" IN FRONT of the clutch pedal. That way I am never riding the pedal and my foot is resting just out of the way if I need a quick stop or a fast down shift to teach someone a lesson . I think it is one of the better low tech ideas.

No, but have heavily considered removing mine as well.

I'm 6'3" and I removed the dead pedal and bought a piece of aluminum bar stock and re-mounted the pedal on the bar stock so it was as close to the floor as possible. It works great.

After taking out the pedal, my leg wasn't quite long enough to rest my foot on the firewall. I wasn't comfortable having no place to rest my foot and not being able to brace myself in the seat.

Today I had the seat lowering kit put in which is great. I put the dead pedal back and now the issue is worse than it was before. With the seat lower my leg is even more flexed.

LA Stig, I see your suggestion above, thanks. Any other ideas?

I'm 5' 11". I adjusted mine. I think it was a 13 mm. I changed the angle on it and moved it back. It works well now.
