Hood / Trunk gaps and hood vent grilles

While I was away in Europe for the last few weeks, I dropped my '13 SRT off at Tomball Dodge to address a small list of items. The hood fitment had inconsistent gaps on the front and the front left corner. The trunk gap seemed to sit up too high. Had one hood grille that was slightly loose.

Hood gaps were addressed using a few shims under the bumper cover. Looks better now.

Trunk gap was easy, you can do that yourself by adjusting the two rubber screw pads on each corner of the hatch door. It sits much tighter now. Be sure not to wind the screw pads in too far, the hatch will rock side to side if those pads aren't actually contacting anything underneath them.

All six hood grilles were replaced with a revised part, which appear a little more glossy black and thicker looking grille screen. I think these are for the '14, one of those minor updates that likely were a result of a supplier change.

Will do. I don't think I have pics of my previous grilles to compare with. Maybe snap some of yours to post?

Saw the car up there last week. When I did the coupe rear conversion on my gen 3 I got to see a lot of the factory shims used to line everything up. Very easy to adjust and make "perfect" if people are concerned.

'14 Grilles are a little shinier black, and have thicker grille sections. I think they might even rise up out of the hood a bit more than the ones I previously had.

Wonder if this vent change had anything to do with the one that flew out in the MT video/test.
