So you have narrowed down to it being the person who did it, or not. Well that helps make the search easier. Good thinking TVR : )

Good luck with getting it back

I agree. Get the word out. Potential buyers look on here too before they buy either to learn stuff or to ask about specific cars. Even if you include potential buyers we are a smaller community than a lot of other car clubs.

I didn't want to risk being tagged as a spammer as I don't know all the rules of your forum. Perhaps a mod can help me out and make a sticky? Also I'm not at my computer so it'd be tough to repost at this time.

Post the VIN with it as well so if the potential buyer searches it, this will come up

I think we should move this to General, you are likely to get more exposure than being in the Gen I / II forum only...

    Moving... 3. 2. 1

Also the Las Vegas police dept has a Viper Team dedicated to recovering vehicles. You might want to look into this

Update - nothing quite yet nor was it found this weekend. I am now in contact with the VIPER team at LVMPD as they are specialists and I may be able to help them pinpoint the target and they patrol the area in which the car probably is. They will be working in collaboration with Henderson PD and hopefully something good will come of this! Fingers crossed

If the LVMPD viper team can't find the Viper... they have to stop using that name... LOL

Seriously though I really hope they find your car and capture the creep...

    Thread to the Top...

Car has been recovered! Thanks to the help of an anonymous neighbor who reached out to me through my Craigslist ad. I can't go into full details for legal reasons but basically I acquired the address, did a drive-by and the idiot was working on the car in his garage with the door wide open. The car drives fine and nothing has been removed except for the front air induction piece which they painted maroon (wtf?) and I have a sweet rattle can black racing stripe on my hood with a ton of overspray. I have a lot of great body shop connections who will help me get it back up to par. The thief and his comrades basically steal cars and just drive them around acting like it's their car. There were other vehicles at the location which he will be racking up additional charges for but I cannot comment on at this time. A news article will probably be published soon and I'll link it here for more details.

This is all thanks to a good man who reached out to me, I'm giving him a very nice cash reward this evening even though he is trying to not accept it in which case I'm going to send his family on a vacation instead!

Thanks for the help and support guys.

GREAT to hear! Must have been tough seeing him work on your car while you drove by knowing you couldn't do anything at the time...

Congrats. I don't think I could have just drove by. I would have been out with my .45 at his head calling 911. I hope that little sh!t meets Bubba in a dark cell.

I can't comprehend stealing a flashy car and driving it around.

Then again I can't comprehend stealing a car either.

Outstanding news! I like the Old Testament approach of restitution...this guy would owe you 4 times the damages he caused.

Course that means he'd have to steal a lot of stuff to pay you...

Glad u got it back, it's a pain in the arse he messed with your car and caused damages but at least it's back. The sob will hopefully get what's coming to him. Good to see another FE staying on the road.

Congrats!!! So happy you got it back, are you going to keep it now?

It was extremely hard not too, I have my CCW and had my 9mm XDS Mod.2 on me. Luckily I didn't approach as he had a .44 sitting in the trunk of my car and a .40 on a chair nearby in the garage. Feel free to take a guess as to if the guns were legally acquired or not....right now the thief is looking at more than a handful of felonies between my case and a few others.

I will be pursuing full restitution and also a civil case after the criminal trial is over.
