I am going to try a black oem style push pin for the inner fastener. I want to try the the push pin on my car first, it gets fairly hot at that location.

That would be perfect. I would think it would hold being that the inner fender uses them. Please let us know what you find out.

Just the front, I may make a rear set also, however, due to the wheelwell physical configuration there is little. if any damage to the lip or area to the rear of the wheelwell. My car has approx 7000 miles with corsa's, Hoosier A6's and Mickey Thompson DR's, so it is a good indicator.

Looks like next week, one of the board vendors is going to be the source. The first run is going to be 50 pairs. They have worked wonders on my car. I did an autox last week and it was on a lot filled with cinders. The Hoosiers peppered the car like never before, no problem, the flaps
    did their job.

Jack B, i have got a question regarding the first picture of your thread. i have noticed that there is a lock where the hood latch, is it a hood latch lock?

    Thanks,
    Khaleefa

In an earlier thread I posted about the need for a small unobtrusive front mud flap. On my own car after 2000 miles the paint was gone on the rocker inside the front wheelwell. Cars that have the corsa's (or any soft race tire) will experience the sand blast affect very early, just as mine did. Just a guess, non-corsa cars might go 10-15k before that area is a eyesore. I was tired of looking at the sand blasted area so I designed a set of mud flaps that almost disappear yet protect the high damage area inside the front wheelwell. As a side note, the design of the wheelwell and sill area is quite good as far as protecting the the painted surfaces near the wheelwell, it does not take too large of a mudflap to complete the protection.

After my post about a month ago, several people contacted me about buying a set. I do not plan on setting up a retail business, however, I have the capabilities to produce the mud flaps in quantity. If there is still enough interest and I can figure how to get these to market within the rules of the forum, I have tentative plans to produce a trial run of a 100 sets very soon. The cnc programing is finished and I am close to finalizing a price. I plan on making the first cnc set within two weeks.

The reason i named them the Boomerang Mud Flap is that they look like a small boomerang. The flaps are fastened with one of the oem torx screws. a second self tapping screw would be furnished with the kit. the mounting holes are enlarged or slotted so that the fit/look can be customized. The flaps go on/off so easy, they could easily be used at the track when the car has the soft compund tires and then taken off for the street, on the other hand, they are hardly noticeable.

I have to emphasize this is not a for-sure endeavor, but, if there is a large enough need I will try to make it work.
