The one and only Project Pit Viper from Mopar Muscle Magazine. Been in storage since 1997. It was featured from 1992 to 1994 as a project car for the magazine with a bunch of "back door" insider help from Team Viper. I was the Technical Editor for the magazine at the time and got to keep the car afterwards since I fronted the initial cost of the car.

I used to race it at our home track at Sebring International as part of the ongoing feature story. The car even held a lap record there in the SCCA Solo-1 ASP class, for one season back in the day.

I finally retired last month and I started using the car as a daily driver just to annoy the neighbors.

I replaced the clutch master cylinder today. It went bad after teaching my son how to drive a manual transmission last week. He did remarkably well for his first time lesson. (though I had to assess the blame for the failed clutch master cylinder on him just out of fatherly principle) :-)

Still have tons of interesting factory parts and one-off stuff that Dodge gave us back in the day.

    Enjoy.

Awesome...I'm relatively new to the Viper world (since 2018)...so plz tell, what's been done to that car? I've got a '93 I've been fixing up, and maybe eventually gonna do some performance stuff to it.

This really is a VERY cool daily driver! Also very much interested to learn about the mods you did and the one-off stuff you mentioned

Um. Based on a picture that basically shows hardly anything of the car, I can draw the following conclusions:

    1. Someone painted the wheels black

    2. See 1 above

    3. See 2 above

This thread needs a bump just because, so I'm supplying a few Gen I/II pics.

Also, Did NJSteve finish his RT/10? Is Dave6666 still around? Will Jon B ever release a memoir featuring his best Monday morning calls?

    Let's keep it rollin'!

Just drove my 1996 GTS 700 miles after sitting in storage for 2 years. It ran great.
