    Lowering Caps Alignment

Just wondering after doing the lowering caps what Alignment are people going with. I have seen a few go with the TA alignment, just wondering if this is the way to go or is there a better way to go. If you have done the lowering caps, what Alignment did you go with? All reply welcome. Thanks in advance.

At Viperexchange we make sure the car is within factory spec post cap install. May not be the exact answer you're looking for but just shedding some light on our in house process.

Andy, what is the cost to have the caps installed and alignment corrected at Tomball? Thinking about a two hour road trip in the near future

How do you make sure they are in factory spec Andy? Are you saying you put them on the alignment rack?

At Woodhouse Motorsports we REDO the ENTIRE alignment every time, the factory alignment is not always as good (even) as I think it should be for a car as fast and capable as the Viper is (it's not at all about tire wear in this case). We have corrected many things that would have greatly reduced performance especially when tracking the cars. I take into consideration what each customer uses the car for and the environment they drive most often and then apply the BEST alignment for their requirements, nothing generic for our clients.

Thanks for the reply, are you saying as long as you have the alignment re-check after the caps, stock or TA alignment your good to go?

I think the alignment needs to be redone not just checked, there are things that should be better than "within spec" so we do them all the right way, I treat every car like a race car, they have to be perfect.

I got my caps installed then a week later after they settled (it did settle a noticeable amount) I went with the TA alignement and love it. A couple weeks later I added TA sway bars and it made another noticeable difference.

Thanks KB for the reply! Really thinking about doing the TA sway bars due to the fact they are much stiffer.

Get them, you'll love them. Mark J can get you hooked up and pair them with lowering caps and a TA alignment and you will notice a huge difference in handling.
