Passport Transport taking their time - waiting is tough!

Three days left until my 3 week pickup window has passed. I also booked a few days before my first available date, so almost a month has gone since initial booking. While I am frustrated at the wait, I am still expecting good service. I was not exactly pleased with my last broker serviced car transport.

Trying to pass the time is tough. I was hoping to have my hands on the wheel by now!

Waiting is the hardest part! I used Passport for a TX/PA shipment and the Viper was spotless

That's why I'm trying to be patient. I want the good service. I'm just a bit peeved that they will miss their pretty large pickup window.

Where are you having it picked up from?

Wow! 3 week pickup window? Is that seriously how they work? I'm in the middle of picking a transport company for having my (soon to be) Viper shipped from TX to Chicago and I'm being told they need at most 3 days notice for pickup and then 3 - 4 days for delivery depending on weather. Even that timing will drive me nuts, let alone waiting for a 3 week pickup time... crazy.

My dispatcher from passport Has four cars in Dallas to pick up to go to Chicago . I am waiting on that so they can put my car at Tomball on the same load. I guess it will be next week.

It is definitely driving me a little crazy. I'm not too sure what to do at this point.

I had just used Passport late last year, took about 2-1/2 weeks all told.
Imagine they have to get enough cars somewhat in the Mississippi and nearby states area to make it worthwhile, takes some time.
Passport was pretty good, car arrived safe and sound and the driver was very attentive.

Been plenty happy with Reliable. That's who ships them for dodge, correct?

We used unReliable for my RT to get here from CA. Took much longer than expected, car was on several different trucks, in several of their warehouses...sometimes they couldn't even tell us where the car was located.

When it was picked up in CA, it was in the front of the trailer and it was supposedly to not come off the truck until it got here. In other words...they'd pick up others along the way here. We'd be first on...last off. That obviously did not happen.

When they got close, the driver needed a meeting place, and I offered to get a ride to meet him close to the PA turnpike so that he'd have easy on...and easy off. He knew our area. I suggested one place (a Walmart) that he didn't like...and he suggested a local mall. As soon as we both arrived...the mall cops ran us off. Again, I suggested WalMart..literally across the intersection that has a ramp to the turpike connected to it's parking lot. The driver refused, and instead took us 20 minutes away to a trucking terminal. He was concerned about my understanding how much space it took to turn his truck around. Of course, the WalMart gets deliveries all the time via tractor trailers. I can't fault the deliver driver for the whole mess...but ihe added to it.

In the end...I'd never use Reliable again. I was more than suprised at their actions in moving my car. In my opinion, the car was shuffled over too many trucks, too many warehouses...and they seemed to care less when we called to check in.

I understand that they need to set up a route to make the pickups...so if you are in an area that's not where other pickups are locafed...you probably have to wait. In our case..they had the car already. In fact, at one time...there was a truck headed our way..and it wasn't full. They told us that our car could not go on that truck because the entire truck was privately contracted and that no one else vehicles could be on it.

Matt - I also had a bad experience with Un-Reliable. Had a new Viper brought up from Texas, Never knew where he was, zero contact till a few hours before he got here.
Of course they promise GPS tracking, etc. Lol never happened. Driver was very surly and refused to bring it anywhere near my home.
I've had other cars delivered to my street by carriers, no problem. But I was okay with meeting him.
I offered to meet him about ten miles away. He got lost on his way to meet spot and when he finally arrived wanted to unload on the side of a very busy highway.
I refused, saying at least lets pull into an office center parking lot we're going to get killed unloading it here.
He got all pissed off he had to drive another mile to a safer location off the main road. Nasty guy too.
It was a super hot August evening too...just an ugly experience.
I always tip the drivers nicely for their efforts. I just walked away from this clown.

Passport has called me twice today. Looks like when a pickup estimate is expiring it gets expedited and solved as today was the last day for my 3 week pickup window. The car should be getting picked up this weekend and will be here Wednesday / Thursday! Can't wait!

I used United routes... 4 days from when I called them to go from southern florida to northern NJ. Mid size operation but top notch.
