Dodge Unveils GEN V Viper ACR

Dodge took the wraps off the long awaited GEN V Viper ACR Today at the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant. A concept was shown at the SEMA show in November, and now the production version is being introduced. This is the third iteration of the Americvan Club Racer concept, a stripped down, street-legal, factory-built racer for the track enthusiasts. There is no official word on pricing yet. We can tell you that the new ACR will be bart of the 1 of 1 program and the car generates 2000lbs of downforce. For more information please visit www.driveviper.com/forums

I just called a contractor to dig up and re-do my driveway apron so that the ACR splitter clears without issue.

AWESOME !!!!!! Ill own that car in 15-20 years! I still don't own my 15 year old car. I like seeing what the future holds for me! I hope it "decimates all" at the ring!

Wowzers in my trousers. It says that front extension is removable which I would think is probably required for a lot of people to get in and out of their driveways or deal with speedbumps. A lot of roads in our cities here would be brutal with that much splitter on the front.

What did it mean about the rear strake extensions designed to rub against the race surface to improve straight line stability? Was that just their colorful way of saying they extend really far?

No way. The 'Ring is full of spies that do nothing but log what car and manufacturer is running and when and try to photograph them. It's practically a sport.

Same boat man. Only way I could afford my Gen2 GTS with the family is when it hit 15 years old and was down to my affordability. Still turns heads and looks great.

Amazing looking ACR. I hope there is no more Viper vs Corvette on the ring drama after this bad boy hits the street

From the same shithole of a website that brought you the fabricated 6:59 time for the new Z06. Never trust anything off HPK
