    Great low clearance floor jack!!!

Got this jack from Harbor Freight for $91 shipped. (googled a coupon for it) It gets under even my front jacking point on my lowered Viper. I REALLY like it. I used to use an old crappy scissor jack to get it up high enough to get my old crappy hydraulic jack under it. Now I don't need to mess with either of those jacks since I have this new one. Very happy with it.

    Nice!

I cant decide what I want to do as far as jacking the car up. I have a 4 post lift and have thought about just buying jack stands and placing them under the car and lowering the car onto the stands from the lift.

I have that one too. I like it except that when you turn the knob to release it, there is no gradual release. It feels like an open/closed kind of release. So just be careful setting things down with it.

Thanks for the headsup! I have a Harbor Freight store a couple of miles from where I work and look what I came back with.

I'll never have room for a lift, so it will be Jack Stands with 2 secondary Jacks as backups now.

Does it reach the rear center jacking point? I got a low profile jack off Amazon and it is low enough for the sides but not long enough to reach the rear frame rail to jack the whole rear at once. That seems like the best way to me since you can then put stands under each jacking point.

I can do it with an AC Hydraulics DK13HLQ...it'd be tough with a smaller jack. You have to get it pretty high up to clear jack stands like ESCOs.

I have the 2-ton version and yes to your question

Sideways06...yep, I jacked up the entire rear from behind the car right in the center on the frame rail. Both rear tires come right up off the ground with zero drama. Very nice.

The reason I use the 4 post lift is so I can work on the car at normal standing heights......working on the ground just beats up my body more than necessary. I use 4 of these scissor jacks and an electric rechargeable drill with a 1" socket to lift and lower the car while on the 4 post lift. The fit perfectly under the "V" jacking points on a Gen 3/4 Viper (assume Gen 5 is the same).

Once the car is up in the air with the scissor jacks, I then add 4 more additional jack stands to the system under the frame as extra insurance. (earthquakes you know, lol) From start to finish, I can have all 4 tires off the lifts ramps in about 5 to 6 minutes when using a rechargeable drill to do all the work. I also use these same scissor jacks at the track if I need to swap tires, work on brakes, etc. I've been using them for over 4 years and they've held up great for both my Viper and Mustang GT.

It's one of the things worth buying at harbor freight. It seems oddly well made for a HF product. Gets under my eibached car just fine.

There are some gems at that store, that's for sure.
