Its really hard to beat the sidewinder 2 for pricing, light weight, and overall looks.

Love CCW, but for the price , how can you pass up the deal on Sidewinders Jon is showcasing?

Is there any downfall to having to put a 3/8 spacer on to have the offset be correct on other Gen's?

I absolutely love the Sidewinder 2's but I'm not a fan of having to space them. Does this need to be done on all Gen's besides the Gen5?

I'm assuming you are talking about spacing the rears out to match the fronts?

I'm in the same boat as you...I'm not a fan of spacing wheels out either. I know lots of people have done it, but I'd always wonder if the spacers were up to the task when my right foot gets punchy.

I put the ipsco 5/16" on and it's pretty close, also used ipsco extended lug nuts that go inside the wheel to grab more threads. No problems here, although I wish they were anodized black.

You do not, but the Gen 5 front wheel is 1/2" wider, and that width was added to the outside. The front wheel will look flush with the fender, but the rear will appear a bit sunken in compared to the front, even though it is the same width/offset as a stock Gen 3/4 (if I'm not mistaken).

I have run spacers on various different vehicles without issue. The key is to get hubcentric and not just the cheapie universal 150 different ways spacers

Depending on your budget, I carry about 10 brands that can work on a Viper. Sidewinder2 wheels are cool, but everyone has them, and they aren't Forgeline or HRE
