Lone Star Le Mans @ CoTA on September 18th and 19th

    Howdy all,

The North Texas Region, South Central Region and Houston Region are working to put together another dynamite weekend to go watch Ben race (and win) the Lone Star Le Mans this September so mark your calendars now and be ready to join us for another awesome weekend!

COTA has created a Viper car corral package that includes weekend race passes, weekend parking passes in lot C (paved), grandstand seating at Turn 1, Turn 15 and the Main Grandstand (free to roam around), event merchandise kit and parade lap.

An additional benefit included is that if you call them directly they will waive the additional processing fees that are charged when you sign up on the website.

Tickets are $159 for a driver and $139 for a passenger.

Here's the link for more information:

    http://circuitoftheamericas.com/lslm/tickets

Note to self: call Andrew Berger at 512-536-1493 to buy tickets with no processing fees.

We are working on lodging and other things to do . . . more information to come!

    Happy Thursday!

We have arranged a block of rooms at the same Marriott that we stayed at last year and the rate is $209 per night. We are still planning the rest of the weekend so keep an eye out for more information coming later.

Who knows we may even have an outdoor pool to sit around, though there are worse places to sit than next to a bunch of Vipers in the parking lot!

The final piece of the puzzle has been put together. If you're planning to go attend, please download the attachment and send it in with your payment and be ready to have a blast! Last year we cheered Houston Club member Ben Keating on to a win and we're hoping we can repeat that with just the right touch of mojo!

Update: There are a few rooms left in the block at the Marriott so please make your reservation as quickly as possible so you've got a place to sleep!

The block is closed but you can still reserve a room by calling Shannon Nicole Braly at 512-634-2001.

We’ll scope the property out and let ya’ll know where we’re gonna set up the HQ. We’ve been known to utilize curbs so the short folks don’t have too far to fall!!

I just got this information in an email. I thought we got Parade laps on Friday and Saturday.

To take part in your Car Corral's parade lap, you must attend a Car Corral safety briefing. The briefing will take place at the following time:

    • 4:00 PM Friday, September 18, at the Parade Lap Registration Booth in the Grand Plaza, adjacent to the Guest Services Booth

Great event everyone, I hope we can continue to grow this one, thanks to John Weber for organizing Friday Nights BBQ and the cruise to lunch on Sunday, I love when we can involve all the regions in events. Oh, winning the race didn't hurt either. I think we are Ben's good luck charm.
