Don’t miss your chance to race The Glen this season before the track closes to repave! The North American Road Racing Association (NARRA) visits Watkins Glen International, May 15-17 for the Corsa Performance Exhaust Grand Prix!

By now you have probably heard that Watkins Glen International announced in November its intentions to repave the historic road course following the 2015 Cheez-It™ 355 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race weekend. The $12 million in private and $2.25 million in public funds will be applied towards infrastructure modernization & marketing during the repaving project. We are fortunate to have had already booked our event weekend before the track closure.

The event marks rounds three and four of the NARRA US GT, US PC, and Whelen US Time Trial series. After a large turnout for the first rounds at Road Atlanta, the GT series championship points to be earned at this race are very important.

Of course, NARRA race weekends include more than just racing, and The Glen is no different. NARRA’s Chief Steward, Terry Earwood’s history in motorsports is legendary. He continues to officiate for multiple series and test products for manufacturers. When you have a resource as valuable as Terry, it makes sense to absorb his track knowledge whenever possible. We have scheduled a track walk with him on Thursday, May 14th from 7-8 PM. Registered drivers will travel as a group, stopping at corners and other relevant points on the track to gain a view point that can’t be seen from a car at race speeds. Terry has his own history with The Glen, so we are sure to hear another amazing story as well! Ask him what the fastest way across the track on foot is…

In addition, we have arranged for a private showing of the International Motorsports Research Center. Drivers, crew, and guests of the Corsa Grand Prix of Watkins Glen International are invited to join us at the Center on Friday evening after practice concludes for the day. The Center is open for our tour beginning at 6pm and will remain open until 9pm. Historic papers, photographs, videos, and motor racing artifacts, from around the world will be on display for us to browse. Want to know the history of the race car you own? You may be able to find out here.
Pricing for racing with NARRA starts at around $450 for 2 days. Many options exist for you to find a series and class to race within NARRA. We still have garage spaces available at The Glen and it is not too late to register. Early registration ends May 6th.

We invite you to race with us at some of the country’s best tracks. Learn more about The North American Road Racing Association at our website www.NARRAonline.com
