    TA brakes squeaky?

I know squeaky brakes are common with performance pads, but are other TA owners experiencing squeaking during low pedal effort stops? It's kind of embarrassing. Brakes are completely stock and the car has 3k miles on it, no track sessions, etc.

It's never embarrassing owning a race car on the street. Yes mine do the same.

Strangely, mine have not made noise. Maybe you should beat on it more? ha

Might sound obvious, but do you spray out the brake dust often? I found on prior vipers if I just wipe down the wheels and not actually use a hose and spray out the excess dust, I would get squeaks.

Mine too. Not too loud yet. My wife's SL550 had that and they finally had to change pads because it was so loud. I found it it's fairly normal with high performance pads.

Mine are squeaking too. Started at 50 miles, don't care since I know they are racing pads. Sounds like on old car with brakes down to the metal.

Mine squeak also but have got quieter the more miles I've put on it.

TA pads are generally going to squeal from glazing under mostly street use. They are designed to handle track use where they will get up to a much higher temperature. Do that and they don't squeal at all

You might be on to something here. I never spray my brake calipers directly with water. I just stick a microfiber between the spokes to clean the face of the calipers, and I wash the wheels like normal.

I wash my wheels quite thoroughly and rarely get squeals like I have on other cars. Seldom when coming to a slow slow roll they will act up.

Just a few times during city driving. Pick up my TA 2.0 about two weeks ago and now have 800+ miles on it. Really enjoy it.IMG_4067-1.jpgIMG_4067-1.jpg

In a safe place, make a few successive and aggressive 60 MPH to 0 stops should rid the squeaks for a while.
