RT/10 Rear Window Lock Package Found Part#04848891AA

Ever since I obtained my GenII several years ago, I've been searching for a referenced "Backlite, Lock Package" Part#04848891AA in listed in the GenII parts catalogs. This package contains the RT/10 Rear Window glass key and internal lock mechanism for the rear window locks. I gave up hope trying to find this in 2007 but it now seems available through Mopar. I know I'm not the only one that had a missing rear-window key or lock out there. I believe this was $60 from my dealer but seems to be available online through various Mopar part outlets. It NOS. The package contains two sets of keys and internal lock mechanisms for the RT/10 back window glass. It does not contain the full lock housing, however.

I hope fellow RT/10 owners find this useful.

Looks just like the cam lock I bought at Home Depot for 5 bucks when I replaced the one in my driver side sliding glass window.

Yep, in fact the RT/10 rear window lock and housing (black angled plastic that hides the lock mechanism) can be found in file cabinets. However, I have not been able to find the housing that's angled like the on the RT/10 though. The latch, the metal piece with square opening, can be had from one's file cabinet.

Thanks for that Tony, I recently bought my car and the rear window has black film on it making it a mirror when the top is off, after reading your post I was about to go to the Dodge dealer and see if I could buy one, but looked at one of the sets of keys I got and low and behold that Viper key was on my key ring all along. Thanks again.

No problem. If you remove your window and find that the gasket has ripped/deteriorated there's no OEM gasket replacement but there's a gasket that works well. I provided a link to it in this thread. I may buy another roll. If so, I'll post and sell off what I don't need.

BTW, speaking of missing keys....if someone lost their key to the back window lock, just pop off the round-plastic piece that covers the lock mechanism. Then use a screwdriver to remove the screw securing the latch and the window can be removed. Don't ask me how I know.
