Amazing driving! Were you running on slicks or corsas? Also, I noticed you seem to have a technique that involves moving the wheel side to side very quickly....is this your way of getting a feel for the slip angle? I'm always interested to learn more from great drivers.

I know in my POV vids you see this & it's the micro-corrections I'm making as the car pushes just beyond the limit, correcting quickly for slight over & under steer. You see this when really getting the car at the limit of the tires. Considering the squealing and look of it, I'd say that's not on slicks, but OEM tires, and a great job driving ... what a blast, what these cars are all about.

Another great track, great driving and video! Some different track features than VIR and Sebring...any new impressions of the TA?

Z07 looked very impressive too. Did the owner experience any issues with high track temps as some have reported?

    Thanks for sharing!

    LOL.

He was doing very well on the early laps. Probably just overheated, like usual. As temps increase outside, more Z06 owners are becoming victims of overheating issues... http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/...lant-temp.html

True,...or he overheated the tires and they were starting to let go.
One of the reasons to get the viper, less chance of heat soak on the motor, less weight on the tires, and more tire

I wonder when Snorman will eventually get a New Viper. I'm thinking the next ACR when it comes out. That guy always has the latest and greatest from any of the 3 American brands.

Nice driving btw OP, do you know if the c7z was on stock tires? I didnt see you mention this, but were you on stock tires?

I'm glad I waited before trading in my 2010 Z. I also posted on that thread ( LEE427), and also voted for Tadge to make a comment regarding these overheating problems with the new Z. I heard there was one that overheated at Laguna Seca recently. The guy pulled in the paddock with coolant steaming, boiling .. It was his first session too.. I think a blown car doesn't make a good track car period. Shoot I ran with ZR1s before, and all of them had to pull in a little earlier for a cool down..

I knew it was an issue, but I didn't realize the extent of it until I combed through that thread on CF...some of those oil temps are insane. It was really, really cool here in Ohio this past weekend...summer is just around the corner, so I'm curious to see what happens (if the owners even risk it).

Welcome to drive-by-wire - as has already been stated, 91% = WOT on these cars.
