IN/KY...VOA Meeting and Tour of The Club at Putnam Park Road Course, Mt. Meridian, IN on Saturday May 2, 2015:

The plan for this gathering is to assemble at Putnam Park at 11:00 AM EDT. Putnam Park President Chris Diasio will welcome us and explain the fantastic changes that he has instituted since our last official visit there several years ago. We will get a tour of the new private garages, the Club's community garages, and visit the Club House where Chris will explain the finer points of membership in "The Club" (membership levels, associated privileges, and costs).

At NOON, we will have the opportunity to tour the Road Course in our Vipers...at a sight-seeing rate of speed (30 mph). It really takes at least a couple of laps to get a feel for a road course. At 1:00 PM, we will assemble in the Tower area for a pizza lunch and a hold our May meeting. After that, we will befree to watch the active lapping on the track...noting that there MAY be an opportunity to ride along in a Club Member's car for a couple of "hotter" laps.

As previously noted, if YOU wish to participate in a trial open lapping day on the Road Course on "a Club Day" (NOT on the day of our meeting which is May 2nd) as offered by Chris AT A ONE TIME DISCOUNTED RATE OF $300.00, please contact Chris Diasio directly at Putnam Park for a reservation for this gracious offer. csdiasio@putnampark.com

DIRECTIONS:

Putnam Park is located about 30 miles WEST of the I-465 Beltway that encircles INDY. Take I-70 WEST to Exit 41 ( Greencastle/Cloverdale exit) then go NORTH (toward Greencastle) on Ind St. RD 231 to US 40 (about 5 miles)...then go EAST on US 40 about 3.5 miles to Mt. Meridian...then turn SOUTH on County Rd. 550 East and follow this for about 1.5 miles to PUTNAM PARK ROAD COURSE.

NOTE: Due to the fact that this event is taking place on a scheduled "Club Day"...be prepared to be stopped at the entrance until you make it clear (politely) that you are there for Chris Diasio's Viper club event.

Indy area CONVOY info: We will gather at Champion Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge located at 4504 WEST 96th St, Indianapolis, IN at 9:30 AM EDT.

PLEASE FUEL prior to arriving at Champion as we will DEPART at 9:45 AM EDT...SHARP !!!

Members can also join us as we roll SOUTH on the west side of Indy's I-465 beltway OR as we proceed westward on I-70 to Exit 41. Please plan to keep in touch via cell phone.

Hopefully, we will have a good show of Vipers at this event. If so, it will be a fresh start on the pathway to a possible Viper only track event here in 2016.

Beautiful day, fine looking Vipers (Gen II through V), and gracious hospitality by Chris Diasio, his Club members, and his staff.

The level the Club's furnishings, decor, and comfort surprised folks who had not been there lately. The same could be said about both the private and the communal garages.

The track drive around delighted new members, even thrilled a couple of passengers!!
