Diff fluid is different in Gen V vs Gen IV

Was at the dodge dealership to pickup some diff fluid for the TA, seems like the changed the the fluid from the mopar synthetic over to Castrol SAF-XJ.

Just thought i would share. Same diff fluid used in BMW M Cars and still requires the friction modifier.

I wonder if it was Castrol all along, and they just aren't relabeling it as Mopar anymore? Either way, the viscosity and need for friction modifier are unchanged.

I also noticed that in the Owners Manual...but, with only about 400 miles on the car, it will be a while before I have to change it. Spring is finally arriving in Indy !!!

Also, FWIW, I went with Torco SGO 75w140 synthetic + Mopar friction modifier when I changed my diff fluid a couple years ago. Seems to work well...it's just surprising how little fluid these cars take in the differential.

I use the Mobil, it already has the friction modifier in it.
