    Stunning '94 with 504 miles

    Thanks for the offer Leslie, but miles that low actually turned me off to the car knowing what I would have to put into it to get it going. Kind of looking for something with 5k-10k miles on it.

    The only problem is that it may not make sense to drive it anymore. You can get a real nice driver for more than $10k less. That's pretty much a collector piece only at this point. That looks better than new. Gorgeous !

    With that few miles in 20 years, I would wager you $5 vs $50 that the head gaskets are dried out and on the verge.....

    Unless / Maybe an obsessive fanatic did start-warm-drive 2 miles per month, and they might hold up longer.....that woukld equate to 500 of the 504 miles

    The lucky buyer should plan on replacement if they plan to drive HARD or FAR.....

    And that's one of the main reasons I didn't persue it further. I am looking for a gen 1 with 6,000-20,000 miles on it.

    So let see. Spend 54K on a beautiful sports car, put it in your garage and sell it 20 years later for 20K less. So a loss of 1000 dollars a year for your investment. Something smells rotten there no?

    Could be the seller was gambling on values and is getting out of the car at a price to move it. I understand what your saying, there are some people who enjoy the buying experience and being the "curator" for an amount of time and then sell and do it again. I have a few motorcycle customers who do it.

    I think the window sticker for my 94 was around $57,000

    Most cars don't start becoming "collectible" and gaining value until they hit the 30 year old mark. So give the Viper some more time and I will bet it will increase in value. Now is the time to start picking up these cars while the value is lower.

    Taking the collector speculating out of the mix, the time is right for buying these cars, Gen 1 and 2 specifically. The car you get for the money is really impressive and can be modded as little or as much as desired.
