    Gen II windshield frame.

I tried to touch up some of the paint on the frame around the windshield, and when I spray on paint the paint seems to have an adverse reaction and immediatly crinkles. What gives, is this some magical viper material that does not accept rattle can touch ups???

Outside. My hard top has scratched it up a bit and was looking to freshen it up.

Incompatible paint. The touch up is acting as a solvent.

Definitely incompatible paint. I've never seen anything from a rattle can lift factory paint, have parts of your car been repainted? If it's been touched up before, the two catalyzed paints could be reacting(generally lacquer on enamel will cause lifting because lacquer uses a more aggressive solvent).

I wound up using a flat black primer first and got it to work. Te final paint I was using is a rollbar and Chassis black.
