Driving to the Ace Cafe last night, bumped into this!

    WTF!

Caught up with the Owner for a chat

Luckily I had a VOA Join the Fun card on me so Adrian may get an email or call

The owner used the car as a Daily driver in Texas, then imported it to the UK, he thought the car was stock so asked me to take a quick look under the hood, turns out the car has some good upgrades

    Black smooth tubes, (factory Airbox)

    Aluminium Power steering pulley,

    Snake Oyl rear exhaust system

Slotted and Drilled one piece rotors

Some inner fender fastenings have been upgraded to Stainless steel.

The owner was rather pleased when I told him of the mods

Nice, I'm still waiting to see my first viper on one of my UK trips! Have never even seen a vette for that matter.

That's the First Viper I have ever encountered while driving my car since 2008!

Do you guys require a special permit to drive LHD cars or is the UK cool with that?

Only classics are allowed to be RHD here.

Nice find Mark - no call from this chap yet but hope he does.
These chance encounters are rare - I've only ever seen 3 on the roads when not at an event - one in the UK, one in the south of France and one in Sarasota.

No you can drive Left or Right here with no problems, there are now many LHD cars in the UK (and lorries, thousands of em!) as they are all coming into the UK from Eastern Europe

Only difference is the British motor insurance companies like to charge you more for owing a LHD That's if owners even bother to buy insurance Uninsured driving is a big problem in the UK.

I've only ever seen three Vipers on the road here outside events, one was back in '99 which was a B&W and which inspired me to join this madness. I passed Zubair going the other way on the M23 one day when I was also in my B&W and I also saw a black RT locally to me on the road (I was in my daily that day unfortunately).

There is quite a big American car 'scene' here, I quite often see Mustangs, 'Vettes', Camaro's and many trucks on the road or parked up. You see proper hot rods and rat rods every now and then as well The only real issue is size, some of the American metal is seriously big compared to standard Euro boxes.
