Finally broke into the 7's today. Guess it took good air and DA (near 0) as well as sticky tires lol. Impressed for what little I have into the car, just tune, Under drive pulley, Jon's catted pipe, k&n filter, smooth tubes and DS heat shield.

I was just reminded of this thread, so wanted to post up my last run from January when it was still cooler out. Just got my trans back after being built by RPM, so I

EDIT: Someone really needs to fix the bug with the apostrophe. I reported this to the site admin back in June 2019, yet it is still ongoing...

    That DA is wild

Last cool air of the season in Houston probably, so made a few passes. DA was around 200 ft despite what the Dragy readout says, and that's about as good as it gets here.

    Car has:
    ARH headers/HFCs
    VE Titanium Catback
    Arrow PCM
    UD pulley
    DSE heatshield
    R888Rs

There's a Calvo Viper on Instagram I follow that's running 3s. His username is MC_Rippinz. He's also supposed to race a very notorious red GTR

I only used the Draggy twice and haven't messed with it since. Not sure how you guys are getting the DA and Temp at the top of the screen. I only made a total of 3 attempts. My other 2 attempts were Invalid because of slope but I ran a 7.85 and 7.86 back to back after driving the car for 45 minutes. Seems like I'm in the middle of the road for a stock car. I'm pretty sure I can go a bit faster.

    Notes -
    car is 100% stock
    I lifted when I shifted
    Started in 2nd

This is too cool. Need to order one.

I deal conditions out today so I went out for a couple highway pulls. 45*F, low humidity, and a DA of -1,200 ft!

Mentioned above already but this is a bolt-on/Arrow PCM car with cats.

That's a perfect DA and moving!

I love my Viper and love driving it, but man it stinks that my family car with two car seats and a trunk full of groceries is faster than it.

I think a sub 7 is extremely impressive for a sub-$100k under-stressed road course car. You can throw gobs of power at anything and run fast in a straight line, though, if that's what you mean.

Those shifts!!! Take it easy your going to break the knob off. ν ½νΈ‚. That's probably a perfect run! Great work!

I didn't have the balls to no-lift like txA&M08. But I managed a 7.13 with similar mods and -991ft DA.

Those are some great times you guys are clicking with some of these NA cars guys!

Here's an Nth Moto twin turbo ACR viper still using a 6 speed H pattern transmission, 19" R888R tires, and a "non track friendly" power curve in this test. Enjoy!

Indeed, and shifts like a dream both on and off power. Although for you it might not be a lot quicker, ha!

Save for some slight noise during gearchanges it's hard to want to go back to a synchro box if performance is your primary objective. At this power level no lift shifting a synchro box would make things unhappy very quickly.

Did some tuning on the car but it was worse weather but did pick up power still.

Almost 1900 DA at 513 feet this time.
Only mod that changed was me tuning it some.

Did trap 129.19 in a 1/4 attempt yesterday as well.A2A8F36D-438D-4C7D-9001-3BE9502D72E1.jpg

Mine from an 11.2 @ 129 pass at my local drag strip (lifting during shifts):

I've got some work to do on my shifting for sure.
