Track Vid: Nineball, FLATOUT, & Dusty1 ACRX

Thanks to Nineball a few Houston locals got on track yesterday at MSR Houston. Starting to see some really quick times out of the Vipers on this track. By the end of the day Nineball ran some 145.3's and I believe I had a few in that range as well. Tony is on a Pilot SS and I'm on a Toyo R888. I had the grip advantage but Tony is still driving a better line in a few places.

And this is Beth's (Herss) ACRX and I running down and passing a new C7 Z07 car. Couldn't find the owner after the session, but I think it was driven by an MSR member and was pretty quick.

What were the temps? Didn't look like it would have been too warm...just curious if the ZO6 was having any heat-related issues, but I see that you weren't able to catch up with the owner.

Great time yesterday! We got a LOT of seat time in 8 hours, hell of a value. My fastest laps were in the last session, because there were only 4 cars on track. I was following Colby's modded GT-R, he is an excellent driver and a member at this track. My best two laps were 1'45.3 and 1'45.5, previous best on these tires was 1'46.6.

Here is my 1'45 lap, as you can see I'm at the limits of my tire traction (Michelin Super Sport). Bonus style points for the drifting in the carousel!

Next time around, I'll be on some Hoosiers.

I just wanted to chime in and say thanks to Nineball and Cody for putting this adventure together, it had been awhile since Beth and I had been down to MSRH so it was fun getting acquainted with the track again and it is always fun to hang out at the track with good folks! I for one am looking forward to seeing what Nineball can do on some Hoosiers, but I will warn you, they are line crack cocaine, once you go there you can't go back!!

Probably the Nineball patented helmet cam. I switched to that mount this time and I like it much better.

It was a great time. I guess I did ok for the first time on this track and in a new car. My best was a 1.52 but after some coaching from Tony Whatley and Mike Colby I went a bit faster however it didn't get recorded. I did find the limits of the track and the car yesterday. I can't wait to do it again

Texas crew representing as usual. Thanks for the videos, looks like a lot of fun. Did MSR provide BBQ for lunch?

Yep we were out in force!! No but club member Edgar Alvarez picked up a bunch of Subway sandwiches and we brought water and gatorade so all needs were covered! Umm, except we had to go home so the need for speed was left unabated!!!!!
