    Magnesium Wheels, who makes them?

Just saw a comparison with the P1 vs 918, the P1 for a million dollar hyper car sports Aluminum wheels, the 918 sports Magnesium wheels. Since I do plan on getting HRE wheels for a viper... someday, who actually makes magnesium wheels? I don't want to get carbon fiber wheels in the mix, thats probably double what my budget would be for HRE.

Just interested to see if anyone has been running these, ultra light wheels, on two piece rotors all around is a nice weight-saving setup perfect for you track sluts! lol

Expect close to $20k for a set of full Magnesium wheels and they have a finite life span so won't last forever (they get fatigued and need replacing) at least on a racecar they do.

And a lot of tire shops won't touch magnesium wheels. I get asked that a lot when they hear they are for a Viper.

Damn, was thinking carbon fiber wheels were going to be around that price. I figured if I'm going to spend coin on HREs, might as well check other options.

With the GT350R said to have carbon fiber wheels, I wonder if this will bring prices down for this type of wheel. Maybe other makes are going to dive in on the process?

Carbon Revolution wheels are $15,000 and weigh 15 lbs each. They are much stiffer with very little flexing. They are also 1 piece wheels.

Waste of money and not worth the hassle to save a few pounds per wheel.

    A rear Sidewinder 1 (19x13) weighs 25lbs.
    A rear Motegi GTS-R wheel (19x13) weighs 18lbs
My Sidewinder 2's all have tires on them right now.

HRE aren't the lightest. Forgeline monoblock are lighter, and racetrack proven. I sell both brands. I don't know of any magnesium Viper wheel companies, I'd stick with aluminum.
