    2013 vs 2015

So, first off I loved my 2013 to death and still wish I hadn't sold it. Base SRT with upgraded leather and nav + rear view.

Two months ago I picked up a 2015 Silver SRT, only option was hyper black Sidewinders.

Overall, 800 miles in I love it. I find the build quality a lot better. Car seems better put together. No panel gaps. Rattles seem to be barely noticable. My 2013 had a lot of little minor issues that almost all got sorted but nothing Major.

Only one issue is one of the speaker grills on the dash isn't 100% flush - but Id rather not rip the dash off to have them fix something trivial.

Upgraded the sound system to the 18 speaker. When the dealer did their portion with the software it fubar'd the airbag system. Took two weeks but dodge got it sorted by sending a tech in. Was a bit sketch driving it without air bags, but i lived. The issue was, the code to enable the sound system with the 2015 was all jacked up and made the computer barf (technical term). Don't know why four extra speakers requires software, but ok!

Overall, very happy with the 2015 and ready to rack up miles.

Was the speaker upgrade worth it?

for $500 or whatever it is, it isn't bad. Biggest pain was going to the dealer - and the subsequent issues due to firmware.

if you have the 12 speaker system, you already have 2 subwoofers. This just gives you 2 more door speakers and 2 more subs. So, if you want more bass it isn't bad.

The whole notion of these gazillion speaker systems is so dumb. I'd rather they put in 4 good speakers than 18 crap ones. I think you're better off going aftermarket, that $500 would be better spent.

Not really sure that it will work with the stock UConnect system - seeing as the software has to be enabled
