Griot's Garage Caffeine & Gasoline April 4th 2015 in Tacoma.

As some weird fate would have it, I will not need to go in to work overtime this weekend. Griot's Garage is having it's Caffeine, and Gasoline this weekend with the theme "Supercars". I think this needs a good Viper turnout. Right now Acuweather shows lots of rain, and the weather channel says sunny. So I am in as long as it is not dumping rain. Where would you guys want to meet up before hand? That parking lots can get full real quick. It starts at 8am, but we might want to roll in there at 7:30 for spots to park together.

My schedule is up in the air for this week/weekend, but I'll keep you posted.

weather.com calls for "scattered thunderstorms" - does that mean intermittent Vipers rolling in? lol

Can someone send copy(<-- that's writer person code for "write shit down in a coherent, non-forum based format") for me to email to our member/past member/prospective member list for meet up time/location, what to expect, show hours, etc.

I'll try to be there, but 7:30 arrival on Saturday morning is 5:30 wake up time = not easy.

I plan to be there with my RT-10 and I am hoping for dry weather. I get there between 7:30 and 8:00 and can usually get a good spot. If the weather isn't really sunny they have less people early in the day. It is a great place to go and free coffee and donuts always help.

I forgot to mention that they had sent out info on the Saturday event which shows a red Gen II GTS coupe sitting inside the building on display and it also mentions Vipers in addition to others. I have been there when Bugatti Veyrons, Mclarens, and some other really exotic cars show up. It is worth getting up to see.

Looks like work may have shifted a day to the right, so I may be going afterall, however if paint comes in for the pumpkin either tomorrow or Friday, I won't have the viper. Only other car I have is my ZL1, which I'm not gonna muddy up the show with So I may need a ride

What's the status on the paint? Weather.com is now showing NO rain on Saturday..........for now.

I'm thinking I may make the 2.5 hour drive up for this, even if it's raining. Our local Cars & Coffee here in Portland is on hiatus for a month or two and I've been itching to get out.

Sounds good Alex. Hope you can make it.

The thought of waking up at 3:30AM in order to get ready and then leave Portland in time to make it up there by 7:30AM sounded horrible to me so instead I'm going to drive to Bellevue on Friday and crash at my sister's place overnight.

That means I'll be driving from Bellevue to Tacoma on Saturday morning. Anyone else headed in the same direction and want to meet up? Or is it just easier to meet in Tacoma?

I live on the other side of the bay or I'd roll with you

Alex I live in Tacoma, so it would be counter productive for me to go that way. I do believe Seasnake lives up around there somewhere. I can't remember. hopefully he will chime in.

LAME. I got to clean the suspension last night that I have been meaning to do since I got the car.

    Before:

    After:
I did clean them up a little more after these pics. I thought I was going to run out of daylight so I snapped some pics, but still alot better.

My car is "clean" for tomorrow. Just finished hosing off the last 5 months of garage dust. Hope the Griot's team can give me a few pointers on how best to use the $600 of their gear that I have in my trunk (and maybe explain why an entire bottle of paint prep came to me nearly empty)

Y'all know we're missing the season opener of Exotics @ RTC, right?

Griot's Garage Caffeine & Gasoline Pics.

Ok so here are some of the pics from today. I can honestly say I enjoyed meeting all the new Viper people. Some of them are not on the site, but hopefully they will hop on here soon. Really looking forward to more Meets/Drives this year with all of you.
