We plan to attend the Captain's Quarters Cars and Coffee Saturday AM on April 11, 2015. Hopefully, the Indy area convoy will arrive by 10:00 AM EDT.

Following the C&C, we will move into the Captain's Quarters Restaurant for a meeting and lunch. Expect more details later.

Well, it appears that Spring is finally here...and, it's about time !!

As the title says, we plan to hold our April meeting at a NEW LOCATION in Louisville...the Captain's Quarters Riverside Grill. Several of us "scouted" this location while we attended the July, 2014 Cars and Coffee gathering there (prior to moving to a second location for lunch).

This year, we FIRST plan to attend the Louisville Cars and Coffee held every second Saturday at Captain's Quarters which runs from 9:00-11:00 AM EDT.

Then, as the Cars and Coffee event winds down, the IN/KY Viper Owners Association MEMBERS AND GUESTS (any and all Viper owners) will move into the restaurant for lunch and a club meeting.

Indy area CONVOY info: We will gather at Champion Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge located at 4504 WEST 96th St, Indianapolis,IN at 7:30 AM EDT. We will DEPART at 8:00 AM EDT...SHARP !!! Members SOUTH of Indy can join us as we roll southward on I-65. Please plan to keep in touch via cell phone.

IN/KY VOA...Meeting NOON (EDT) Saturday April 11, 2015 in LOUISVILLE, KY...UPDATE:

Hello, again:

Here is an update on the monthly Louisville Cars and Coffee sent to one of the VOA Members. It basically announces that a $5.00 fee will be charged at these events...the proceeds of which will be donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for the purpose of research aimed at finding a cure for "Dystonia and Parkinsons". Part of that e-mail is printed below:

"Cars for Dystonia and Parkinsons will continue on the second Saturday of every month (weather permitting) at Captains Quarters on River Rd. from 9-11 am.
The $5.00 entry fee (per car) will be collected as you enter the parking lot. Parking is allowed in designated parking lot spaces only and not in the green areas of the property.


We also have a new sponsor this year for our event in addition to the 502 Motor Club, Bluegrass Motor Sports has also chosen to sponsor our monthly event.
Perhaps the biggest news of all is that Cars for Dystonia and Parkinsons has joined forces with the Michael J. Fox Foundation. All of the proceeds from our monthly Car shows will go directly to a fund that will be earmarked for overlap research of Dystonia and Parkinsons.


For those of you that are new to Cars and Coffee, this event was started by our son Jacob Spielberg who was diagnosed with Dystonia in 2006. Dystonia is a neurological movement disorder similar to Parkinsons in which your muscles contract uncontrollably resulting in abnormal postures and limited use of limbs..."

The weather forecast Saturday looks good in both Indiana and Kentucky...noting that the AM low temp will be in the 40's in Central Indiana with a high temp of mid 60's. The Louisville afternoon temp is expected to be around 70 degrees F.

REMEMBER...the IN/KY VOA will be buying lunch for those attending our meeting in Captain's Quarters that will follow the Cars and Coffee event.

COLD TIRE WARNING: Indy area temps may fall to high 30's Saturday at 6-7 AM...then, gradually warm to low 60's in the late afternoon.

Great weather and C&C...Q.C.Riverside Grill quite nice...good food, nice staff, attractive layout, great view, and plenty of room for our meeting without feeling crowded.

Fun run down and back...had 13 Vipers at C&C.

Yes...Franklin, Whiteland, Greenwood, Southport on a busy Saturday afternoon...BUT, it sure beat sitting stopped on I-65 for the incident. We really appreciated the heads-up from Brent that allowed us to exit prior to the problem !!
