Flywheel HP, as I'm sure you've seen thus far with the Controller alone, numbers are conservative.

It is incredible that the GEN V has so many HP modifications and good to see Viper Exchange leading the charge. This is some of the most exciting news in Viper world. Our cars have so many more options than the previous GEN and plenty of vendors to compete with.

    Congrats Viper Exchange

How would the powertrain warranty work for out of state customers? Also, how many miles is the powertrain warranty? Lastly, is it only for new cars?

    Thanks.

Since the warranty is exclusive to ViperExchange, any warranty claims would have to be run through Tomball Dodge. The warranty is good for 12 Months, or 12,000 miles. Yes, it is only applicable to our 2014, and 2015 new Vipers

So this is only for people shopping for a car, current owners can only get in on it if we trade-in and buy new.

I think given the warranty that's understandable. It can be easy to say that for $5k you can get 50-60whp, and this is $10k more and a new car to get an extra 15-30whp, hmm. BUT, and it's a big BUT, to offer a warranty coupled with the max NA power you can buy, and this is without manufacturer support, VE is offering the warranty on their own, IMO, that's a huge deal. For the guy/gal who wants to max power NA, you can get it at a discount and with a warranty all turnkey. That to me even makes shipping no biggy. Huge props to VE for stepping up to a whole new level, like the Medusa, it'll be interesting to see how many buy in on this since it targets the folks who wanted more power and a warranty and a new car, this doesn't get any better for that.

I believe she meant the warranty is only applicable to the 2014/2015 that they sell from their store.

You can get the sledgehammer on any Gen V

Yea, I didn't mean you had to buy their car for the Sledgehammer, but I thought it had to be installed - I thought I read in other posts that you can't buy the kit delivered & you install yourself, you'd have to ship your car there.

I wish I could consider it, depending on price, but emissions in MD is run by ex-Nazi military retirees, and no loopholes.

You are correct, a trade to new vehicle means the package can be bought with warranty and free install. We've got a wait list on parts, and kits, so it's exciting to see people taking advantage of the offer. Agreed, If I had a Gen V, it would be a no-brainer!

so this price isn't for people that already own the car and ship it?

    Hummmmm! Now with warranty? Wow!

So just waiting for Sledghammer to come and a few more pennies saved up in the bank. Maybe too early to tell but will Package 3 sledgehammer come with free install and warranty? That would solve majority of my excuses. Finally my last excuse, is sledgehammer able to come with a light version with say 800 HP and be able to pass emissions numbers? Would also require factory cats to be in place and all O2 sensors to be on. Front sensors need to be in header collecto, not single tube. If so and pollutant numbers are in spec, she will pass in Colorado. Does not have to be a certified package and all that expense. Just the above and pass pollutant numbers. Factory cats almost ensure that anyway.

Or offer package light with stock manifolds and cats but cat back only!

If that means it takes 50 or 100 hp out of the 900 hp big boy package, it is totally worth it to be able to register it on the street. Then I am all out of excuses, selling my small collector of Saleens and buying a new Viper. Still keeping the ole 96 for track fun, though I have never had it on a track yet.

I believe the Sledgehammer is going to be only sold turnkey, so install would be included, free install would be a matter of a sale price I'd assume. Earlier posts have indicated some flexibility for those who already have mods that are in the kit, so I'd say when it comes, it might be open for discussion as to what is done, to a degree. For emissions, the Belanger header and hiflows are Cali cats, so you're getting 50-60 hp with the PCM and can use the stock PCM for passing emissions and swap back, if you need to pass by OBD or sniff. The Sledgehammer wouldn't pass an OBD state emissions no matter what you do, you need the stock PCM to do that and you'll blow the motor driving to the emissions station, lol. For a sniff test, I'd think you could pass if using the hiflow cats that Belanger uses, regardless.

Can we please see a before and after dyno sheet showing the 90-100 HP gain from this "complete kit?"

Colorado, front range emissions is ODB test with hook to state computer. Seriously considering just registering everything to Montana. EPA is so out of control these days. They are changing test standard limits to lower numbers every other year now on older vehicles. Got rid of collector, non-test status with older cars from 25 years old to pre-1982 only. Not even going to get started. Want the Sledgehammer and would be buying new at that time. Buy it exactly the way I want it and not touch a thing on ths one.

Timing would coincide with the 25th Anniversary Viper model.
