WannaGOFAST 1/2 mile raceing May 30-31

I realize most of you will be doing the Tail of the Dragon during the last weekend of May, but if that's not your thing, registration opens tomorrow for the spring Georgia 1/2 mile event. I'll be there running the timing system for the event and will have my Gen V there as well. I wish it was a different weekend so I could do the dragon, but it was tough getting a spring event at the airport and they had limited dates to choose from. More than likely it will sell out within a few hours, so if your interested, don't hesitate. Registration opens at 8am. I hope to see some other vipers there, but I don't blame you for taking on the dragon instead.

I got a Sunday spot, and can't wait. I realize most won't miss the TOD and parade and festivities, but I live 40min from the Dragon & wanted to give this a go!

Friday - Viper Run though the Dragon
Saturday - Swap Cars and likely run with the Vipers to Cherokee, NC (stay at casino)
Sunday - Registered for the 1/2 mile and drive the ~50min from Cherokee to Clayton, GA early

That's a heck of a weekend if you ask me. I was not sure, can you run a Gen III Vert as it has no roll bars? I was thinking no...so registered my E55 AMG in the fat kid "heavyweight" class.

Saturday sold out within a half hour or so, and sunday was
Sold out by the two hour mark.

XStar, that sounds like possibly the best car weekend you could ask for. As for the viper vert, no problem as long as the tops up. If you want to bring the viper instead of the merc, just email wannagofast and Blake will change it for you. All good either way.

My 2009 Vert with stock hoops was allowed in the OmegaMotorSports NoFlyZone here in AZ. I hit 161 mph!!! It was an absolute blast.
