18" CCW "drag pack" on my Gen5 TA

18's all around, big 345/35/18 MT on the rear. Looks great, drives better and hooks its ass off! Finish is satin bronze, I really like it but I'm considering going a shade or 2 lighter in the future. Bought them from a member here from Lethal then had ARS wheel repair in DFW refinish them. Very happy with the look of this car so far, going to do a pro photoshoot soon.

car/ wheels look really good. are the wheels much lighter then OEM TA wheels? also is your car lowered? stance looks nice.

Yes the car is lowered, I haven't weighed the wheels. 19" rears won't work for what I want to do

For future reference for others, CCW will cut them so that you can put their center caps on, if you want to use them on the street.

I can personally tell you about those tires. Be CAREFUL. They hook like no other. I ran several 1.3 60' times with absolutely 0 spin. I tried getting down to 1.2 60' times, but when I did that I broke my axles. Tires weren't going to spin.

Here ya go. We were only focusing on the launch, so it didn't have much top end. In previous runs I had 168 and as high as 175 MPH where we were focused on the top end. I just needed to put together a run with the bottom and the top.

Those 60's are closer to a 1.4 average, still excellent and good as it gets.

One caveat as it relates to a G5, your car is approx 800 rwhp. The second issue is that no one has found how to defeat the torque limit tables in the G5 pcm. You do not see it till the slicks go on.

After toasting the factory clutch, I think at the track we are going to have to run the shorter Hoosier tire which is very traction limited compared to the BIG MT that I street race on.

Honestly, I'd love to "build" the trans, use a more aggressive first gear like Gen4's and a cruising 6th gear….like Gen4's.

BTW, just got the Gforce rebuilt brand new and only put about 200 miles on it. I ripped it out and it is for sale. We are going TH400. So if anyone is looking for a built tranny, mine is maxxed out with zero runs on it.

If you were only roll racing with this setup, do you think the clutch would have lasted much longer?

Those ET's are still excellent for an irs car, perhaps, the best ever on a DR equipped std trans viper.
