18" CCW "drag pack" on my Gen5 TA

18's all around, big 345/35/18 MT on the rear. Looks great, drives better and hooks its ass off! Finish is satin bronze, I really like it but I'm considering going a shade or 2 lighter in the future. Bought them from a member here from Lethal then had ARS wheel repair in DFW refinish them. Very happy with the look of this car so far, going to do a pro photoshoot soon.

Sorry for the shitty cell phone shots.

car/ wheels look really good. are the wheels much lighter then OEM TA wheels? also is your car lowered? stance looks nice.

car looks sweet. cant wait to see some 1/4 times when you get the new clutch in.

Yes the car is lowered, I haven't weighed the wheels. 19" rears won't work for what I want to do

Awesome ! I kick myself for waiting too long to snag these up from Danny.. haha Glad you scored em Will .. Looks Great!!

Geez, those are some serious rear tires and really do look the business! Thinking I could use that kind of sidewall on the road course to help get the power down.

    Pure meanness. Love it.

I've been looking at those 345 MT's, they must bite like friggin pitbull.

Do you know what width the wheels are?

Did they clear the calipers and ebrake without spacers or relocation?

I've always like the C10 and C14's on the C5/6's. They look great on the T/A!!

I had C14's years back and would always get comments, "Where are your center caps?"

For future reference for others, CCW will cut them so that you can put their center caps on, if you want to use them on the street.

I can personally tell you about those tires. Be CAREFUL. They hook like no other. I ran several 1.3 60' times with absolutely 0 spin. I tried getting down to 1.2 60' times, but when I did that I broke my axles. Tires weren't going to spin.

I think we all would like to see some time slips.

Here ya go. We were only focusing on the launch, so it didn't have much top end. In previous runs I had 168 and as high as 175 MPH where we were focused on the top end. I just needed to put together a run with the bottom and the top.

Those 60's are closer to a 1.4 average, still excellent and good as it gets.

One caveat as it relates to a G5, your car is approx 800 rwhp. The second issue is that no one has found how to defeat the torque limit tables in the G5 pcm. You do not see it till the slicks go on.

    Very nice runs, questions:

    1. What tires.

    2. Which trans.

    3. Diff ratio.

There was a 3 in it, so I am claiming 1.3s But yes I agree closer to 1.4.

That was with MT 345, same as the OP.

    It was with a built G-Force T56

    Using the stock 3.07.

BTW, just got the Gforce rebuilt brand new and only put about 200 miles on it. I ripped it out and it is for sale. We are going TH400. So if anyone is looking for a built tranny, mine is maxxed out with zero runs on it.

After toasting the factory clutch, I think at the track we are going to have to run the shorter Hoosier tire which is very traction limited compared to the BIG MT that I street race on.

Honestly, I'd love to "build" the trans, use a more aggressive first gear like Gen4's and a cruising 6th gear….like Gen4's.

If you were only roll racing with this setup, do you think the clutch would have lasted much longer?

You are describing a late G4 trans. I have one in my G5.

Yes, it showed zero signs of issue with rolling starts.

Yup that car runs hard! My red GTS was on a slick, but it went consistent 1.31-1.33 60 on a good track. Bad track was usually a 1.37 spinning.

Any links to where I can get one?
