Backup camera/sensor

I've been trying to find this out but haven't been able to yet. Is there a sensor built into the backup camera system? If so, how well does it work.

no sensor on my 14 ta it is just the image with the lines.

No sensors... You usually can tell when a car has one there will be little circles in the bumpers like these on the front edge of the bumper:

Were you asking about the "ParkSense front and rear park assist" Listed for the GTS on the SRT website?
