Yeahhhh...our Siberian has never quite warmed up to the dog. Probably doesn't help that Isis likes to lodge her nose directly up the cat's butt. The cat has all of her claws, so we just let them work it out naturally.

What's really surprised us is the couple of times that Isis was scared as a puppy when another dog was in the house - the cat got all puffed up and inserted herself right in the middle of everything. I guess they might like each other more than we think.

Animals are strange for sure. So far this dog is a pure delight to have. She is potty trained after 3 days.

Yeah they are extremely smart. Loki figured how to open the door to go outside, I have to keep it locked now

Their intelligence is what drew us to the breed. I originally wanted an intimidating looking dog to watch out for my wife when I was out of town, but I have a low tolerance for stupid. Dobermans are definitely near the top for intelligence...ours was easy to train once we learned how to be consistent and provided adequate motivation (she's a crack head for cheese).

Yeah they are smart. I've never owned a full blooded one with a champion blood line. Only time will tell but I don't think I would own another breed after this and I have had numerous dogs. Usually the first week with a new pup is a freaken nightmare..

Found a few more pictures of Isis:

    As a pup:

    All grown up:

Do you know how hard it is to get a cat to pose for a picture?

We also manufactured a friend for her (her name is Hayleigh):

I remember having to post Isis' ears for the better part of 2 months...the longer the crop, the longer you have to post them to get them to stand.

Just a question but, why crop the ears?
