This is my 6th Viper and I have to say the most beautiful inside and out. It was built in March 2014 so its a year old with only 13 miles, lol. No miles from me yet as the dealer did not send the paperwork or a temp. plate. They will arrive tomorrow so I will get to take it out for a ride.
I was a little hesitant to buy this color but was assured by some of you on this forum that it was a good choice. I really like this color in person and the white stripes add great contrast. The interior is a real nice update from the Tupperware Vipers that I owned. The seats are great, the layout of everything just fine. I like the touchscreen display, the short-shifter, the adjustable pedals, the surfaces all covered in leather.
I have to go through the manual to see how everything works, yes Iam one of those guys who actually reads the manual, lol
I will break it in per the manual as I have this and a new 15 CTS-V coupe to monitor.
The only down note is the paint has swirl marks on most of the car but I have a great detailer that should clean it up fine.
I plan to have the detailing done then covering the whole front end ,hood, front quarters, mirrors in X-PEL as this is chip city here in Utah.
I can not believe how some critics and Viper fans poo-pooed this car when it came out. IMO Dodge really nailed it as it has the retro look combined with the killer looks of a European exotic. There are so many great lines and angles on this snake that you can walk around it all day and find something interesting. It reminds me of my 2001 GTS but a really refined 2001 with a interior and modern tech that still keeps the Viper a distinctive but more user friendly American exotic.
It might take a bit to get it and the Cad. broke in as I will be away for a couple of weeks but when I return it will be detail, X-Pel and then drive, drive, drive.
Thanks for all the help in answering my questions and I hope to participate in the forum when I can. Kevin
Sorry for the crummy pics......
