2015 calibration Arrow Racing PCM ready for delivery!

2015 Dodge Viper Arrow Racing PCM's calibration is finished and will arrive early next week for my cars in the shop and then another order later in the week for all of you that have been waiting!

For you Generation 4 Viper guys feeling left out by the success of the Arrow tune compared to your Mopar PCM, you will be happy to hear that we have worked a deal to have your Mopar PCM re flashed with the updated Arrow Racing calibration! For a small cost they will send you a box for your PCM and then send it back after flashing (no need to have a dealer re install either!). You will enjoy the same open feature set as the Gen5 and even get more aggressive throttle tables you have all wanted but never gotten! I will post more info next week on when you can arrange for this great new Gen4 mod.

Mark, regarding the Gen 4 PCM reflash, is this for the stock PCM or the Mopar performance unit that was available? My buddy has a 2010 and Ive been telling him about the Arrow PCM for my Gen 5. If he could send in his stock PCM and have it reflashed, Im sure he'd be all over this. Im about to get the Arrow unit myself after seeing some of the others post gains here lately. Just have to find a local dealer here in central AR that can do the swap. Thanks!

For now I think we are just doing the Mopar units because of liability of changing the stock PCM's but I will revisit this once we start this process.

I have a couple GenV PCM's on the shelf when you are ready ;-)

Ok Mark thanks for the info, I'll pass that along to my buddy. As soon as my tax refund gets here, I'll order a Arrow PCM from you

The reflash he was referring to is only for the Gen 4 cars, 2008-2010. Any of the Gen 5 cars, 2013-2015 have to get a new Arrow PCM.

The 15'+ flash is a different calibration then the 13'/14' because of the throttle body change in 15' so they are not compatible, we just finished the 15 calibration.

We did just that on our strongest GenV to date.

So, If I install the new TB, will the new tune (for 15 model year) work on my 13? Are 15's making any more power on the dyno?

  15. #15
You cannot swap 15' TB'S to a 13/14. The tune is different and this will not allow that as far as I have been informed. No real gains they are just different.

Mark, What changes should I expect on my 08?

  17. #17
Much crisper throttle, more midrange and top end power plus higher rpm limits to take advantage of the power that was left. Most full bolt on Gen4 cars were still making power at redline so the extra rpm should finish out that trend.

The GenV PCM's have been a real hit, I just received #89, in I keep both the 13/14 and the 15' TA PCM's on the shelf (well most of the time Arrow is keeping up ;-) ), just sold my last non TA 15' one, but more coming in soon. So if you are thinking you have just waited way too long for the added performance with or without headers give me a call and I will send you some adrenaline!

We also keep the Belanger systems on the shelf for those of you on the fence.

Thanks and thank you all who are already enjoying the Arrow PCM's.

Mark was the temperature raised for the IAT before the PCM starts to retard timing?

  20. #20
Parameters were widened, I'll have to ask if there is a specific number for you.

  21. #21
Awesome. That would be great if you will let me know. Thank you.

On my 14 with the Arrow PCM it *seems* like instead of power dropping when IATs hit 86* now the limit is around 92*. That is to say I don't notice any differences when IATs are below 90* but just above that even cruising in town I think I can feel that it's lost something. If Arrow gave us another 5* and Doug's heat shield gives us another 5-10* of less heat soak I'll be a happy camper.

The IAT adjustment is still part of the programming, the Arrow calibration "softens" the amount and speed that timing is retarded to make sure it is not as intrusive as the stock cal is. There are many different reasons this function is integrated into the software and it cannot just be eliminated and have a safe tune in all conditions.

I do not know if the G4 (SteveM post) IAT reduction is the same as the G5, however, the G5 is below. It is going to be pretty hard to tell the diff in 3 degrees of timing that is pulled at 86 deg I am surprised no one has logged a wot run in a car with the Arrow PCM, any good scan tool can log.

    86 -3
    95 - 4
    104 -6
    113 -8
    122 -10
    131 -10
    140 -12

Here is a nice timing curve, it is the green trace. The lower trace is the a/f. The log comes from a dash mounted scan tool.
