We have done a half dozen cap installs now and every car sat at a different height, the factory height variation is +- .5" so if you car is already low you can guess 5/8" lower.

I love the caps. Started a separate thread for the caps here: http://driveviper.com/forums/threads...420#post119420

What causes that factory height variation on a car like this? I understand why it happens on say, IFS trucks and especially those with torsion bars but what would cause it here?

I would guess variation in spring free height.

Getting started with some S.S. lines, Carbotech pads and the MCS suspension swap while we wait for other parts to arrive.

Neat little change for the 2015 car, close out that likely helps airflow under the car and through the brakes.

    Mark,

Just wondering if you are able to ship product up to Toronto? I have my Y'Orange TA 2.0 coming in late April and would like to get the engine, exhaust and lowering stuff done A.S.A.P. Please let me know what you are able to supply and what you can't?
    Thanks in advance!

    Jerry,

Wow, thanks for those, that looks so sick, drool. I just don't think my garage would let me get away with that splitter, lol, but those canards, I could get away with those. Yum.

So even though SRT said those deflectors underneath are not needed on aero cars, they still left them on?

Do the deflectors stay on being they were installed by the factory on our aero equipped cars, or do we remove them because they were put on by error like mentioned in earlier posts. I did remove them on my TA and can easily put them back on, but at this point not sure.

It was mentioned by SRT a while back that they are not needed on the aero equipped cars and were probably being installed incorrectly (maybe the builders assumed they all get them not sure).

I can't imagine they would still be putting them on the 2.0's in error. There has to be some function to them. It was said in another thread by FrgMstr that:

"As per SRT engineers, the diffusers you see on the fronts of the Vipers are there to cause air turbulence to better cool the OE catalytic converters."

In pic #3, is that a factory included splitter or is that aftermarket? I don't recall ever seeing that on a TA before. Kind of reminds me of my old ACR splitter.

All factory parts on the TA 2.0

On non-aero splitter cars is what SRT's Eric H. told me. If those dinky flaps cause air turbulence just imagine what the splitter does. But it is puzzling why they still install them on the TA 2.0, mind you the 2.0 does have a different splitter than the original TA.

But of course, the rotors are quite a bit different.
