Trying to interpret your title. Are you saying that 98% of the US is under a deep freeze because of the Canadians? Or that sales are up because of the Canadians? Looking at the Viper sales numbers I don't see the Canadian reference to Viper sales?

I realize your in the Carolinas so you're unaware of the East Coast bias in media reporting, but the western side of the country has been experiencing record highs....from Seattle down to Phoenix, LA to Oklahoma City.....so i'll give you 50% at best. I'm guessing the most of the US sales have been on the west coast.

I think the OP was just making a tongue in cheek reference to blaming Canada for the foul weather, but I don't think it is despite the weather, I think the weather is one of the reasons on why sales are up.

Jeep is on a tear because of a good product lineup but also Jeep has a huge 'go everywhere' reputation. Foul weather makes everyone want 4WD/AWD, and there is no tougher reputation amongst US vehicles than the Wrangler. Jeeps and 'trail-rated' are extensions of that legendary toughness, so having crazy amounts of snow means anyone who sees tough driving will think about getting a Jeep at some point.

Yeah the old 200 was a POS, so having a new 200 that is competitive (i.e. not junk) would be easy to knock off a 31% increase in sales.
