    Question Battery Tender

I know the Gen V's come with "hibernate mode", but has anyone hooked up "battery tender"?

All my summer toys (autos/motos) are hibernating, but all year round they're hooked up on a Ctek as I don't drive them everyday...They' re standard with every new Ferrari so I guess it's good for the american cousin....

You're trying too hard, under the hood you will see the positive terminal, hook the positive eyelet from the harness, on to it. I used a dremel to increase the eyelet hole so that it would fit, took 10 secs. You will also need a nut to go over the bolt to secure the eyelet to the positive post (seems like it was 1/2") Find a steel bolt, that has easy access to secure the negative eyelet. Then feed the harness out through the grill in the front fascia. I secured mine to the hood release (Gen 3) Then when you pull into your garage, you just plug right in, simple. First mod I did to my Viper

Great Now you are on your way. By the looks of the positive post, the harness should slip right over it without using the dremel, now locate an easy access bolt, maybe one along the fender somewhere and and attach the negative side of the harness, then feed the harness out the front. I used zip ties to secure the harness along the inner fender protective hood pads as I ran it to the front fascia.

There is a main engine/frame ground stud on the engine block right below the front of the drivers side valve cover. Merely run the positive to the red stud in the pics above and the negative to the stud on the block. I attached the the plug on the outside of the grill next to the hood latch.

I use the 3300 as it can be adapted to your car or motorcycycle...

The brake master nut directly below the positive works great for a ground.

Here is a pic of the ground/negative stud on the engine and the location of the attachment plug. There are numerous ways to do this, this is just my method.

    Thank you Jack B,
Was at the shop today and found that engine ground bolt, just have to extend my negative lead a little and also modify the positive end ring terminal a bit as the fuse box cover does not want to close with the positive ring terminal on my harness. That is exactly where I want the harness plug in to terminate though. :-)

A little hint, clearance the box with a dremel, that is the best way.
