Some clowns here think that all GTS cars are created and should be priced equal. Obviously, they aren't actual shoppers, and give bad advice. The cars you are looking at seem to have every single option box checked, so of course they will be at the top of the pricing range. I'd expect invoice pricing minus 3% holdback on newer inventory, and further discounts on stagnant inventory that has sat for a year or longer. $130K would be my upper limit, for any Gen 5. I still think the stripes and carbon packages are somewhat of a rip-off on their pricing.

The 2 cars I found are Gray 130K in Maryland
    Yellow 127K Cali.
Tomball has a silver 2014 demo (1035 miles) with all you ask minus the stripes and can be had for around $123K. MSRP is $135K after the $15K price adjustment. It has every option except stripes.

You have two choices: buy one not optioned as you like thats on a lot or custom order

There are new cars out there you can pickup today like this 2015 that sort of suit your needs.

No offense Vic, but that's insane. A 2014 demo with 1K on it for 123K? In silver?

From my time shopping , I found trying to get a dealer to take you seriously via email or phone from out of state near impossible. maybe it was the dealers I was calling on left over 2013's. I walked into a dealer here, told him what my plans where. showed him the cars I was looking at out of state and the costs the had posted on line and he came back with a great #. do your homework, visit the dealer and be ready to buy if they give you the deal you are looking for.

To me that's a year old used car even if it does come with full warranty. Someone would have to be oblivious to the current Viper market conditions to pay $123K for that car.

I know, I feel the same way and that's why it is still sitting there!! Didn't matter to them at all it had miles on it, they see it still as a new car. That's why I now have this one.

The one I referenced early was from Shaver Dodge in Thousand Oaks. I think it had the same options except no stripes. I don't recall exactly but I think it had the aero package too. They were asking 99k and they told me they need to sell it as a demo car. I think someone has bought it already. I decided to go towards a TA so I passed.

OP, just keep looking around as there are definite deals to be had. Options like stripes and carbon fiber are overpriced in my opinion so don't pay full MSRP for that. Don't recall how much the aero package is but lookout for that too. In addition, the car is a 2014 but in a few short months 2016 models will come out so use that to your advantage.

    Kevin,

There a white with black stripe GTS with SRT hood located in Clinton UT. Red/black int, all cabon packages. It's used, 1040 miles, asking $110K.

I saw a copy of invoice pricing prior to the pricing changes. Base price invoice is about 8% below MSRP. The options however have a much higher mark up. Option invoice adder is 50% of the MSRP adder price. Example would be $5k for stripes, but the invoice is $2.5k. There is roughly 3% hold back from total MSRP.

Use this and you can do the math to find where the bottom is before a dealer is actually losing money. Don't forget that for 2013 cars dealers received cash for their inventory and could use it at their discretion. This would be additional discounts beyond invoice etc. $10k for GTS and $7.5k for SRT.

It's unfortunate, but SRT put all of their profit in the options, kind of like Porsche.

Paid $84,000 for my new 2014 GTS without the $15k coupon dodge gave away to all the people they ripped off.

    $115,000 MSRP

"A few short months" means 11 at this point, 2015's just started rolling off the lines

The dealers with leftovers on their lots now have been lowballed a hundred times and since they still have the cars they aren't biting.
Less than a month it's spring, driving season starts again in half the country and these leftovers will start to disappear.

If your trying to say you feel sorry for the dealers your crazy...Try trading in YOUR Viper to any stealership and you will know the meaning of LOWBALLED.

They will lose money regardless, every time they reject an offer they shoot themselves in the foot. Left over 2013 models while we are in 2015 and they STILL want the 2013 MSRP prices, or close to it? Those same cars will still be there and it'll be 2016, ha! Someone should haggle a deal with a stealership for a new 2013 for $69k.

People want to buy brand new Gen V's for 75K because a dealer has had them a long time, WTF do you expect them to offer you on your trade?

Some of the left overs have already been sitting on dealer lots for a couple of years and have seen summer come and go. If they don't price them to sell they'll still be on the lot next year.

I have no trade!!! I mean if I had a Viper to trade they would give me squat for it and Iam NOT trying to get a 2014 Viper for 75K but Iam NOT paying 130K.
Screw Dodge and their dealers,I will buy a 2015Z06/Z07 Vette Speced MY way with everything for 107K....I bet after I order it and received it the idiots will still have the same 2 cars sitting in their showrooms. I have ZERO empathy for dealers, they are just middlemen and most dont even know their product.
I want a Viper but if I can save 23K Iam doing it as I love the Vette equally. I will continue to look as Iam in no rush to get it so time and$$$$ are on my side.

Also, don't discount the sepia Laguna. Pictures do not do it justice!! My car has it's awesome!! Just about everything in the car is either wrapped in leather or is carbon. I wasn't too sure about it seeing just the online pics from dealer, but it had the exterior color with stripes and interior carbon package that I wanted. The sepia Laguna is now like a bonus!!

MSRP on a 2015 SRT is only $85K. I for one wouldn't pay the MSRP price. If I want to order a 2015 a local dealer will sell it to me at invoice and make money on the holdback. In relation to the 2015 a similar optioned 2014 is worth a lot less. A 2013 is worth significantly less then a 2014. $75K for 2013 SRT is too much. $75K for a 2014 SRT seems more reasonable depending on the options. When you're talking about Gen V pricing the MSRP range between a base SRT on a highly optioned GTS is significant. If you're talking about a highly optioned GTS then the price is going to be significantly more.

These type of threads always "evolve" into something like this where personal attacks start to come into play. Some people don't mind paying extra if they get what they want when they want it; some people low ball. That's all fine but most people want to get a good deal and/or go off market value.

A 2014 SRT without many options should be priced at around 75k. If it has carbon fiber, aero package and other such goodies it will jump up a bit. There's about 4-5 2014 SRTs priced around 80k and they've seen no action for many months. I'm sure at 75k someone would be willing to buy it.
